The reputation of this place precedes it, you have to eat here once you're in banglore!! We have had Masala Dosa, Khari Bath, Kesari Bath washed it down the throat by a refreshing coffee!! Amazing Khari Bath and Kesari Bath were delicious with that lovely aroma of ghee. The dosa was mind-boggling it was crispy from outside and soft from inside. I don't think I've to talk about coffee in Banglore!! All in all it was wonderful experience! The place is hidden behind the street vendors, tough to spot, getting a parking spot is also a task (we were on motorcycles). If you want to try something else you should visit the place earlier in the day as we had limited items from menu. We were at the place 40 mins before closing.

Known as one of the best and Iconic eatery of old Bengaluru . Well this place has some good vibes and ambience . Coming to food i have tried their popular sagu masale to be honest I went without expectations and got my seat without waiting in early morning . The cost of dose was 63 RS . The dose was crispy deep roast and loaded with lot of butter .palya was average for my liking but chutney was Little spicy and flavourful I liked it with that crispy dose. At the end it's subjective opinion about hype of this place .For me it was a good masala dose .

Being bangalorean everyone thinks vidyarthi bhavan is must visit place. We went here on Sunday for breakfast. We got our turn after 45 minutes of waiting in long queue. When we went in I was very excited to taste bangalore's authentic masala dosa. But the taste was not as expected. Since it is a very old eatery. It's overhyped. We get best masala dosa in every corners of bangalore now. Taste is below average. We ordered idly vada and sambar vada. Sambar is also very watery. Masala dosa is 60 rupees, one vada 30 rupees, 2 idly and 1 vada 30 rupees, tea coffee 18 rupees. I think it's price is too costly for the taste and quantity.

Patience is bitter but it's fruit is masaledaar here. Getting a table for 4 took some time but we saw this coming so there wasn't any guss about it. Once we were seated, the order was taken after 5 minutes. It's a pleasant sight to see the servers wearing the traditional mundu and shirt. The food took some time and meanwhile I took that opportunity to gaze around the stuff that are placed on the walls. There is a little bit of Bangalore history attached to this place. We ordered Khara bath, masala dosa, kesari bath, vada sambar and filter coffee. The masala dosa was crisp from the outside and soft from the inside, very flavourful, a must try. The khara bath and the Kesari bath were amazing too. I loved the Vada sambar combo. To end this delightful journey we had fiter coffee- strong and not too sweet. Just perfect. Reaching this place is not an issue but finding a parking is. Worth visiting if you live in Bangalore.

It is an experience to have food here. The taste is unmatched. Such delicious dosa that one is not able to stop at one. The chutney is soo good. This food gives total satisfaction. Service is fast and servers are friendly even if language sometimes can be a barrier.

Its not just a restaurant, its a feeling of a thousands of people including Bangaloreans and other places. Its rare in our lives to have food from a restaurant which was opened before we were born. This 1943, legacy restaurant serves minimal dishes, but you will fall in love with them. For the staff numbers, its not just work: its worship and they are too devoted to it. Must try place.
