Dr. Anukriti Verma from Vimhans Hospital, Nehru Nagar who diagnosed me for OCD is a messiah for people like me. Her methods and techniques including the medication was a life changing experience. I would recommend people to at least visit there, like I did once to feel the difference in your diagnosis anywhere else. The best private hospital for mental health, Dr Sanjay Pattanayak is the best psychiatrist available here. You will find people coming from far away places to get treatment from Dr Sanjay. One of the best Psychiatrist available in Delhi NCR. Highly recommended

One of the pharmacist was extremely rude, he did not accept our authorised prescription for a schedule X medication, didn't clear as to why. This very much reflects their general attitude towards patients of mental ailments.

Very poor service at hospital . Sanjay Pattnayak is Psychiatrist at Vimhans and is a bad doctor. He adopts hit and trial method on patients. Long term impact worst on patients due to medication prescribed by Hospital. Doctor poor at language both spoken and communication. Charges very high for consultation and other services. Avoid this place as far as possible.

Terribly disappointed and upset with the consultation with Dr Shivani Aggarwal and VIMHANS Delhi. I had booked an online appointment with Dr. Shivani, for 1.45pm on 15 Sept. The consultation fee was Rs 1,500 (it had to be paid in advance). Usually online consultations even with super speciality consultants are within Rs 1000. However, I assumed I would have an hour to consult with the doctor so went ahead. No duration of consultation was mentioned , only the start time. I got a call from the receptionist at 1.20pm asking me to join the online consultation. I mentioned that the appointment was set for 1.45pm and I was told that the doctor had already joined the session because she was available. I joined the session out of courtesy at 1.20pm; none of my documents which I had sent in advance had been shared with her. She tells me the staff at her end had not given it to her. Sorting this obviously ate into our consultation time. We had barely spoken on the subject for about 10 minutes when I needed a minute to attend to a personal requirement. I requested the doctor to wait for a few seconds which she flatly refused , claiming that she had other patients waiting. It was around 1.36pm, our session was meant to start at 1.45pm. Presumably, each consultation would be for an hour at least ? How could other patients be waiting when my slot was for 1.45pm ? She rushed me through the session at this point. She read out a list of names of medication she was prescribing to me.She ended the session at around 1.37pm. I feel this whole exercise was a waste of time and money for me. Instead of being treated with respect and courtesy, my concerns addressed and a diagnosis discussed, it feels like I was an unwanted charity case thrust upon the doctor. My humble request - if you don't have the patience and empathy to treat your patients, please do not deceive them and add to their stress.

There are a gross multitude of especially vitriolic reviews, and though dismissal of those concerns may serve some utility is accurately assessing the institution, understand that it can feel greatly dehumanising to us. Filtered through this lens, expect that some of us have bad days but reserve judgement. In my dispassionate appraisal, your experience will largely be dictated by your doctor and not the admistrative tasks preceeding your appointment. Wait times can be excruciatingly long, so scheduling an appointment helps. I've observed, in my treatment, a characteristically Indian tendency to breach confidence on part of the doctor. The initial application form has several superfluous fields impertinent to one's condition. Finally, the pharmacy was ready to dispense scheduled/controlled pharmatherapeutics to someone (my father) when, by law, they can only do so upon verification that the prescription presented belongs to the person buying the medicine. I'll be reporting this to the relevant authorities. On the whole, your experience will be your own. Compliance in your treatment is necessary, but you are the best judge of your own emotions, whether youre the best at coherently conveying them in the service or establishing a pattern of behavior is another matter. Good luck.

it is a very expensive mental hospital for the already suffering and troubled mental patients and their families..... only the richie riches can afford it.... i went there for consultation in 2012....The HOD madam(psychiatrist) saw me.... and she was so rude and rough in talking to me! She diagnosed me with borderline personality disorder.... and referred me for counselling.... i took one counselling session in that hospital with psychologist pulkit sharma and i found it helpful.... so i decided to carry on my counselling treatment with him.... his fees even at that time was 1000 rs for 45min ! i took 3 sessions a week as suggested by him.... and my counselling continued for 1.5 years... even after that i was still at the same point where i had started from 1.5 years ago! i spent so much money on it.... and even after that nothing happened..... i was still struggling with bpd and still struggling with it even now...... the point is he was also making lots of money only..... i don't know what he did in counselling for such a long time...... after that i lost total trust over any kind of counselling..... so guys, be careful!

Doctors are good, but the system of the VImHAns isn't. Need to improve the system. The staff needs to more polite with the patients and should be readily informative of the basics. Respect time of everyone, patients time are precious just like everybody's. Doctors needs to come on prescribed time.
