Appreciate you giving us vaccines for covid 19. Today I faced an unexpected experience with one of the staff from VIMS. Today one Hospital number is warning us like "Next time I will see how you will take vaccines."

The worst hospital in Andhra Pradesh.This hospital is not bothered about patients health, who were joined there. They have many toll free numbers.But if we call to any toll free number, we won’t or doesn’t get any response from them. This shows the irrelevant/irresponsible behaviour of the hospital management. They will do experiments on patients health. So what I would like to conclude is that, not to join any patients here.

Horrible experience in Vims. Don't join anyone in Vims esp during this pandemic. Very less support staff and no one is there to take care of patients. No phone numbers . Please save your people, don't let them suffer there.. ****Updated post 18/8/20**** The staff has been increased and now doctors are visiting the patients, however can't expect better care. If you know someone in the hospital, you can manage in the hospital. They have the best equipment but poor support staff. My father in law is in hospital for almost 22 days now, he has recovered really well, we somehow found out one of our distant relative working in that hospital, we were able to get atleast minimum care like adding water to oxygen cylinder and changing saline bottles etc by him. He is now getting discharged. So please find someone from the hospital to take care of your loved ones before something worst happen.

Good medical treatments available here...2 years back the place was very clean and hygienic..gradually people started coming more,now it became bit crowded but still its clean now.all types of lab tests are done here in very low cost.Good convineance for all.

It's a Government Hospital and having beds more than 100 nos and general wards and emergency OP

Without complete knowledge or information about this Hospital we've admitted my Mother due to her critical condition and requirement of Ventilator, But at that point of time we don't know that we made a terrible mistake of our Life time. This is a worst hospital in all aspects. My sincere request if you love your loved ones kindly don't admit them here. They don't have sufficient staff to treat and treatment will be provided by Nursing Students and Fresh passout and pursing doctors and they feel like god's with arrogance attitude, timepass nature, reckless ness towards patients, temperment on replies, they are interested in milking money from patient attendents by food, information, medicines to handover it to patients. Not only medical staff, housekeeping and supporting boys. You've to pay for everything like handling over food to patients, handling over medicines and other stuff etc through window at New Triage Building by paying huge money like per package 50/- to500/-. It is very strict on not allowing attendents to patients, but you can visit patients by paying huge amount to wardboys through using Hospital PPE Kit. I've lost my most loved mother here due to their negligence,arrogance, lack of knowledge,lack of patient care/support, Lack of lovable nurseing staff to care of patient with lov and affection etc., My mother urged us to shift to home because she told us that staff behaviour was unbearable, and not treating at all. They will come with medicine or injection at once, if patient ready okay otherwise they will igore for the day. Understood that for almost 20 patients one nurse attending duty along with personal calls all the time, and they will waste time of One hour each time during each Shift Closing Hours. Understood from my Mother that Patient Food is pathetic and if patient is not in a condition to eat self, there is no support from Nursing Staff (One Staff for One ICU). If there is any death happens in next or nearest bed, that body will lies there for HOURS on that bed itself and restor some of patients in that ICU may not eat or sleep and they ended up in fear of death and tears by remembering their family. I never left my mother, stayed in the pavement for all the days and decided to discharge to shift to Home or any alternate Hospital on the day when she left us in sorrow. Am at the hospital all the night without sleep, got call at 4:00am saying that my Mother No More. I asked for time of death,but I didn't proper answer. The crucial thing is they will Kill or declare death all patients at a time and make calls also at a time. In a week they will choose one day for deaths and clear majority beds.I've never seen discharge of any patient during my mother hospitalization period, only deaths is possible at VIMS. I've been there when there was a suicide of a patient due to lack of treatment and surity about death. It's a multispeciality hospital with Covid Care with out Specialist Doctors and experienced Staff. Covid-19 is dangerous but VIMS very dangerous

The state government of Andhra Pradesh established Visakha Institute of Medical Sciences on the model of AIIMS, New Delhi and NIMS, Hyderabad. The aim is to provide quality Healthcare to the common people at low prices. All the poor people will get free services under the Dr. YSR Aarogyasri covered diseases. The hospital is also providing services to the CGHS, EHS, WJHS and Arogya Raksha. The planned VIMS is shown below in frontal and profile views. The white topped buildings are already constructed. The brown topped buildings are yet to be constructed.
