SAANYA OJHA - LIFER - 1997- 2012 Currently at the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, USA It is nice to be back to school. For some even better… Saanya Ojha, an alumnus of Vivek High School, sector 38 (batch of 2012) spoke with students of grade 10, 11 and 12 on “Thinking about life after School”. She spoke about the various courses and subjects offered by universities in the United States of America and the criteria used for evaluation by universities for applications while laying stress on the quality and content of the essay that goes with each application. She also highlighted the challenges and common misconceptions held about studying outside India and how to overcome those by following the correct procedures in the application process. She also shared her many and varied experiences while studying at the Wharton Business School and how it has helped her evolve and grow as a person. The students cleared many doubts they had and also gained a better insight into a different system of education and circumstances that maybe faced whilst studying and staying in another country. Saanya Ojha graduated from Vivek High School in 2012. She is currently studying at the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania. University of Pennsylvania has been consistently ranked as the world's best undergraduate business programme. She has the distinction of being an international student on a full scholarship and is a part of a selective programme called the Huntsman program - a dual degree specialization programme in business studies and international studies which enrolls only 45 students. Throughout her time at the University, Saanya has received the highest academic honours. Not only has she consistently been placed on the coveted Deans list every year for academic excellence but she is also a Joseph Wharton Scholar as well as a Benjamin Franklin Scholar for her outstanding contribution to the University environment. She is an honoured member of the National French Honour Society in the United States. Her research paper has been published by the University Press. This summer, she had the distinction of receiving an internship offer from JP Morgan in New York in her second year of college. Post her summer stint on Wall Street she has recently received a placement offer from JP Morgan to pursue investment banking at their New York office. Saanya, we at Vivek are proud of you. God Bless.
