This was one of the best stays I had in a long time! Everything was spot on - from the booking to the arrival, the check-in to the check-out. I had searched them up on Instagram and booked with them directly. Kriti did a wonderful job guiding us through the entire booking process and was also there to answer all our small questions regarding the stay (like what kind of clothes to pack, the exact location of the tree house etc). If you're coming from Delhi, get off at Aut bus stand and take another bus to Banjar (pronounced Banjaar) for approx. Rs. 50/pax. From Banjar, you will have to take a cab to Tandi (pronounced Taandi). The cab should cost you around Rs. 800, which is the set taxi union rate. Once you reach Tandi's 0 km board (it is basically a dead end after that, as Tandi is the last village on the mountain), you can call Mr. Amit Negi and he will help you get to the tree house. He will also help you with the luggage (bless his soul!). You have all the basic amenities (hot water, toilet, shower, towels, almost 24 hour electricity etc.) and if there was something that needs to be arranged, Mr. Negi will do it for the guests. The food was awesome - simple, home-cooked and reasonably-priced Indian food. Do order the Siddu and ask them to prepare it in the traditional style). Please interact with the local villagers and enjoy their company, they are the sweetest locals I have interacted with - asking you how you are and where all did you travel every day and if we needed any help. Mr. Negi's father is a delightful man, always there to take care of us as if we were family. Our washroom had some issue with the hot water, he fixed it on his own in no time! The village dogs are also very cute and fun to play with (Michael and Zara, you darlings!).

If one is looking for a place that is out of the world as far as location and experience is concerned and ready to take drive till jibhi and half an hour more to this village Tandi, then it more than recommended. Infact, this is the place to be. The views are breathtaking and staff is courteous. The owner is humble and the plus points are 2 dogs, Nobokov and Napol who are super friendly and loyal. Infact they may change you for ever if you aren't a pet lover.

Detailed review: I travelled with my family including a small kid, from Chandigarh to Whispering pines cottages on 20 Dec 21 for a booked stay through AirBnB 2 rooms for 4 nights.I made the booking more than a month before the travel date.We reached the place around 5PM. When we were taken to the cottage the following came as shock to us. 1.The cottage had only bed and bathroom and one room heater.(temp was 0 deg) 2.There was power supply for 3 days,so the heater won't work. 3.No provision for hot water. 4.No kettle or any amenities listed in AirBNB site were available in the room. 5.The last 4 KMs was partially covered in snow.so they advised that we willbe pickedup by a 4X4 vehicle. But,after we got dropped, the driver demanded Rs.2000/- for just 4Km which cottage host did not inform us before. After an ordeal and multiple phone calls with the host, the final outcome was the host said "we can't do anything.U have to bear with the cold and stay here.No amenities will be provided." We have filed a complaint with AirBNB along with pictures of the cottage on false information provided by the host and the poor service provided. We felt cheated. Following are the points to note: 1.the power supply problem which was prevailing for past three days was not informed to us despite we were in constant touch with the host. 2.The host has listed a long list of amenities in the site but nothing was available in the cottage. 3.Issue of snow and normal cars won't be able to reach the place was also told to us just few hours before we reached. I am writing all this just to make sure no other tourists like us should go through the stress and trouble we went through. Finally, after a long search and with help of many friends,we found a place to stay that too 2 hrs away. That was possible because of personal contacts, since it is peak tourist season now. I just have one request to the host...pls Don't trouble the guest who plan their trip to enjoy vacation.Pls don't take us for granted. Pls be fair and genuine.

Paradise on earth...Yes what more to say. One of the best places to stay in Tirthan valley. Simply amazing views form all the cottages and tree houses. So well kept property with all modern amenities and toileteries. DALEEP BHAI and his sweet family who manages the property is always on his toes to keep you feel at home. Lovely food and snacks provided as and when demanded. Strongly suggested for experiencing heaven on earth...

Ambience: Very small and congested for a tree house. The ambience looks nothing like what is shown in pictures. Although the Mountain views from the treehouse was good as it's between sheer nature. The house stay was not worth for rupees 6000/- per night. The toilet was better but everything inside the treehouse was too extra and felt unreal. All amenities like heater ( with backup power source as gas cylinder), geyser, blankets for nippy nights and hot water was provided. Hospitality: Hospitality was better than how ambience performed. The service was okay but they are highly commercial and things were not organised properly. You will have to eat in your small tree house on your bed as they don't have any specific place for meals so it was little unhygienic for us. Food: Food was too extra in quantity for 2 people, they need to be mindful while deciding the quantity specially when you are providing facility amidst forest nothing should go wasted They just tried to portray an exaggerated version of themselves which is only required in a luxurious hotel not in a raw place like treehouse. Food tasted good though and pricing was also affordable not so high and not so cheap. There were not much choices in dinner you can get a good healthy meal with chapatis, mix veg, rice and daal with salad in dinner and parathans and sandwich with coffee in breakfast. The property is maintained by locals may be that's the reason they tried doing everything little too much to show their good hospitality but they forgot that treehouses are for experiences not for luxury.

The concept of staying in a tree house on mountains with beautiful view of valley is amazing. And the place lives upto it's expectations. The place is well known with all the taxi people and they drop you perfectly without any confusion. We arrived a bit early than our check-in time and even though the place was full, temporary arrangements for us to rest were done. The food is amazing and you'll just love to eat more and more. But the options are limited. The staff is polite and well spoken and takes good care of you. The rooms are pretty and clean. Yes bathrooms are clean as well along with all necessary amenities. Though the concept of tree within the room, makes it to look a bit crowded. During evenings or early mornings you can explore nearby places, village and a small trek through the pine trees and jungle. Nabokov, the dog, will show you the way. We faced minor issue of electricity fluctuation due to rain. Apart from it it was wonderful stay.
