William Carey was established the Serampore mission. He strongly criticized Woods dispatch's practical education in early 19th century. He felt that education should attempt to improve the moral character of the people and morality could be improved only through Christian Education.

Thanks all of you all who shared his valuable experience about William Carey's journey towards the establishment of protestant Christian ideology in Bengal. But can anyone tell me whether this cemetery is still used by chirstian people who are the members of Srirampore mission church. As per my knowledge there are three churches in Srirampore, St olive church which is located at fredrick nagar, Srirampore mission church which is located at the bank of ganges river and another church is jhonnagar Baptist church which is rather tala more.

It's a nice and beautiful place. But it is not open in the prescribed time given here. I have seen the mausoleum with great difficulty. I also didn't see any curator so that I can ask him to open the gate. Whatever glimpse I have over the barricade it was wonderful though garden maintainance is required. It is inside a narrow street so you may find some difficulty locating it. This place needs maintainance by ASI.
