★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered their famous veg chowmein but got freshly boiled noodles in water with few carrot pieces.veg in gravy of hot garlic sauce was so sweet it was like sugar syrup..My second order today earlier had delicious veg hakka n veg in schiuan sauce but wouldnt recommend after the boiled white vermicelli i was served as chowmein today... Editing today 19 sept after consistently ordering in frm them over the past month ...must confess other than that one time food is always generous in quantity and superb in taste and quality ..am addicted..

You can't miss their Burnt Garlic Noodles, Bangkok Chilli Chicken, Chicken n Cheese Momos and Crispy Chilli Lamb!
And in case u want to revisit old Kolkata, ask for their Mix Fumi Mein Noodles!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have known and visited Xian since 2005 or 2006 I don't exactly remember. But it was a small cute place when it started with 4 to five tables till it was big place in front of ulsoor lake where it is now. They had opened up at Assaye road and was a break for us though. Its best place to eat chinese food in Bangalore. Anything on the menu is best. Yes I have tried all the combo meals and sauce they offer and serve. Also had few of items on menu too can't say all but almost.
It was our to go place,take out and delivery. They use best and fresh ingredients which you can see in food they serve. It's worth the money bcos they give us good quality and quantity food.
So my favourite food on lists are many but I will mention few that I remember ?
If you love more vegetables in your rice and noodles then go for Xian veg and non veg hakka noodles or fried rice. I find this Xian noodles and fried rice , one of the gem in their menu as i enjoy it with lot of vegetables they add in this version. Veg balls and vegetables in any sauce is best but my fav is garlic sauce which sweet in taste, manchurian sauce, black bean sauce. Their soups are one of best and I can have those everyday if I could. Veg and non veg version of coriander soup, lemon coriander, manchow, Tom yum. Mushroom pepper salt is with all colorful peppers / capsicum with mushrooms. Shredded chicken green pepper, general tsao chicken, devil's chicken, Spring rolls , chicken lollipops. Only dessert I have always had was dates wonton with icecream.
If you want to try new sauces in less qty then go for combo meals they serve with selection of veg/nonveg rice or noodles with options of sauce. By this you can taste every sauce without wasting food. This is the way we had tried different sauces at Xian. I love this option always when we just wanted to eat food there without much selection ?. I can have Xian anyday given a choice it that favourite for me. When they deliver the food is piping hot and first thing I do is taste food from box itself bcos I can't wait to eat. For me Xian is best and always will be. I'm glad the taste of food hasn't taste still and that's why I always wil prefer chinese food from Xian. I always will recommend this place for chinese. No other place has ever made me happy like Xian does. So I give 5 stars to it always. I have tired many places for chinese food but not a single one comes close to it.
You can also rely on owner if you want recommendations on food. We always had asked for recommendations when we use to visit the place and never regretted it.
Must try chinese food only at Xian ?
