★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located in college square, inside of the Calcutta swimming club it was first opened for the athletes, members and fir the coaches who were related to the swimming club. Later the canteen was opened to the public as well.
The most precious items they serve is the stew.
I personally don't like the taste of it because when I think about stew it's chittoda's dokan.
Anyways back to the food they serve chicken stew with veggies and soya bean. You can also have bread with it at rs 4 only. The reason I'm rating high is they behave properly with customer and the stew is very healthy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I read about it on Facebook. The attraction is 'Good food at reasonable rates'. I went to College Square to buy a Puja number. It was lunch time and I had a small appetite , so I thought of a visit.
There's no seating arrangement. You have to seat on a cemented stretch along the wall or keep your food on a round platform and stand and eat facing the swimming pool. It's favourite with the students of nearby institutions and College Street regulars.
I ordered mutton stew and two slices of plain toast. The stew was light and tasty, just as it should be. It tasted different from the famed stew of Chitta da at Dacres Lane. It had papaya, carrot and potato apart from two extremely tender pieces of meat. The perfect meal! It cost Rs 76.
I have to come back for its other items including mutton keema curry and mutton liver curry. They serve tawa roti too.
