It is affiliated to the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE),[1] approved by All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE) and provides Diploma level technical education to its students. The college is named after the scientist Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray.There is no hostel facility.

Good faculties and great study rooms.
Playground inside the campus and attached canteen. Various companies and recruiters are invited during Campus placement.

There are six departments in this college and they are civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science and technology, electronics and instrumentation engineering, food processing technology.
JEXPO is the entrance exam to be selected in this college. A student can also get admission in this college through VOCLET where he/she can get admission directly into second year.
The nearest railway station to reach here is Jadavpur Station. And the nearest bus terminus is Jadavpur 8B bus terminus. If you travel from Howrah Station then best option will be a "E1" bus.
