★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Old Ramakrishna Math is located in the narrow lane, having the it's back facing on main road. You will find two locations on the same road. Kindly use the Alambazar Math board for easy identification.
The vibrations and the calmness in Swami Vivekananda's room will take you to different place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Religious place of great importance. This was where Ramakrisha Math & Mission was located before Belur Math was built.
It has tremendous importance from histrical point of view, after Chicago lectures Swami Vivekananda returned back to Calcutta in February 1897 and stayed here. The histrical background makes it so important.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the a very important part of the Ramakrishna movement. This is the 2nd math, Baranagar one being the first. The math has many memories. Swami Vivekananda returned to Kolkata in February 1897 and stayed in one of the rooms till February 1898. This math has seen the first ever rules and regulations of Ramakrishna Order being formulated.
Once it was under Belur Math but since 2007, this has been handed over to Satyananda group but nonetheless the history still remains.
It's a two story building with a central courtyard. Building is not in good shape. There's a puja room and there's the room where Swami Vivekananda stayed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A peaceful place for meditation in a crowded area.You may visit here a room that Swami Vivekananda stayed there after returning from the World's parliament of religion in 1893 and Dakshineswar Kali temple is just a few footsteps near this place.
