★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I travel 40 min to reach this so called famous restaurant for briyani.... But i got fully an bad experience...
First the staffs weren't friendly, responsive nor polite...
I ask for dishes from their menu... Almost i got reply not available... That too not even replied properly...
When dishes came... I saw the gravy too less... Come on guys... U have a good name... Doing a steady business but why this cheap mentality...
Finally i ordered a shahi tukda... Its completely waste... I have only 2 spoons and left it... Fully crumbly malai... Might be used additional tin products to thicken.... I hate that...
I dont recomment this place to anyone...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall good, won't say great. Service is slow, you have to call the waiters and repeat what you want again and again. Moreover they demand tips in spite of paying the bill with gst, this is a mal practice, should be stopped.
Biryani was very light,not the actual kolkata biryani.
I would definitely choose India Restaurant/Shiraj/Royal over this.

I visited here after 5 years, had a very good image of this brunch of Amina's authenticity, took my client for a lunch who was veg, but experience went awful.
*Detailed,long review alert*
1.Just after visiting all the waiter behaved as if they could not see us, after 5 minutes one attended us, we wanted one veg biriyani and one non-veg. Being such a big brand they had no veg options even after having in their menu chart they informed we don't have veg,then waiter informed they can provide paneer curry.we took time to decide as if we should leave the place and go to nizam or arselan or have paneer with naan as we had veg biriyani and mutton biriyani in our mind. The waiter misbehaved when we asked him to wait
He was like "lena h toh lo nei toh katlo"
So we opted one paneer curry one butter naan and one mutton biriyani.
2.On arrival, the mutton biriyani had a mutton piece which won't be even 50-60 grams being a 250(adding tax) rs biriyani, and had a mini potato. It was filled with oil(not.masala) and biriyani looked awful. The naan was good but the panner curry was sweet and tasted vague.
3.Even after misbehaving we gave a tip to the waiter who looked sharp while picking up his tip as if it's a black money anyways, he looked happy.???
4.We complained about the food to the waiter, he took us to the manager who's response was "people demand oily biriyani and our dry biryani is not preffered by customers anymore" and for the paneer they said it's taste is like that itself from the start and there was no sorry for spoiling our lunch, they said we will try to look into it but i dont think anyone is gonna look into it.
After successfully wasting 500 rs of my hard earned money,
I would like to recommend customers to visit any Aminia brunch expect this one, it just has the old atmosphere but has lost its taste authenticity, I tried to inform this to my contacts and they too informed that it's awful since the last 4-5 years.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Biriyani is very lightly spiced. That is the reason some people dislike it. But if you want biriyani and also don't want an upset stomach, go for it. The 'firni' is awesome. Prices are also reasonable . One of my favourite biriyani places in Kolkata.

I heard Aminia's name in YouTube and all a lot but this time when I visited by my own the restaurant turned out to be pathetic .From hygiene to quality and quantity .Everything was worst .You can see the biryani in my photo it's costed 240 Rs and the rice is not even long grain .And the piece of chicken was so small. And in the gravy we took 230 Rs chicken Masala and literally we struggled to find hardly any pieces in the gravy and they gave an egg to satisfy that . seriously? Just a money sucking restaurant .Never go here .???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had lunch here, Mutton Biryani, Mutton Curry and Firni. Taste of biryani is not up to the mark. The flavours are missing in the biryani. However, both the dishes are less oily and spicy which is a plus point. Quick service, available space for dine in and good behaviour of staff will make you happy. Had lunch at 2 pm i.e. peak hour for dine in but crowd is finely managed by hotel management. Overall 4 star!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aminia is quite famous but I felt it's a bit too over rated apart from their biryani. I tried out their Butter Naan and Chicken Chaap. The quantity is quite less as compared to the prices. Wasn't really satisfied with the quantity. The naan could have tasted a little more better.
