About Amritam Charitable Trust
Late Shri Parbodh Kumar Badhwar, Founder was an inspiring leader who dedicated his life to social causes of educating children, empowering women and protecting senior and disadvantaged elderly citizens of the society. He led his life my the motto of “ Be the change you want to see in the world”.
Mr. Badhwar was a profound Steel Engineer and worked in Germany for a few years. He was an eminent personality in the field of handicrafts and was in a business of exporting the same. He was behind the development and promotion of meditation carpets and was a great believer and promoter of benefits of meditation.
He was the treasurer of Greater Kailash-1 M-Block Residential Welfare Association. He was tremendously involved with social work including children activities, vocational classes, educating about personal health and hygiene. Being a senior citizen, he himself knew about their well being and worked towards senior citizen’s protection and rights. Being the trustee of Amritam Charitable Trust he has worked with Shishu Mandir, which is affiliated with Lajpat Bhawan, wherein hobby classes were conducted for underprivileged children. He was associated with Amar Jyoti Trust for the last 30 years.
He has strived hard to create a better world around him by making utmost truthful and devoted efforts towards the problems prevailing in the society. His wife Ms. Promila Badhwar is taking his vision forward through Amritam Charitable Trust.
