Really nice place to spend few days away from big city, without traveling too far from Pune. Good rooms for staying alone or in groups. Food served for Breakfast, lunch, evening tea /snacks and dinner. You can also plan to spend days or weeks in seclusion here. Often, there would be different programs arranged for family, kids around nature camp, in summer, Monsoon and winter, or spiritual seekers on Yoga and Meditation, throughout the year. A must visit place.

The 5 stars are for the energy and ambience and service and homely homegrown ( some of it) homecooked food, the meditation place, and the lovely dog Mama and the beautiful trees and plants and the simplicity and the Love which one can sense in every pebble. Bliss. Ananda. Please do not expect a luxurious resort. For the Discovery of the real you .

Just a 60 Minute drive from Pune lies at the foot of a mountain this simple yet serene ashram. The journey from Pune will take you on a picturesque route through the hills, that have small tea and snacks stations (Good halting points for some Chai and photography). The last stretch to the ashram (2kms), is a bit rocky. And so recommended to travel by car or a motorcycle. The ashram is run by Acharya Dharana, who is a very warm person. Some of the highlights of my stay were:- 1. They offer sessions in Yoga and Meditation. I took a session on learning how to meditate and it was extremely beneficial. 2. Climbing the Mountain - There is a trail on the backside of the ashram that leads all the way to the top of the mountain. The climb is quite steep but the trail helps. Would take anywhere between 60-90 mins to climb to the top. If you are lucky you will be accompanied by a free guide. Her name is 'Mama'. I have uploaded a picture of her staring into the valley. Turns out a group of people actually live on top of the mountain. The view from the top is exquisite. You can see the valley on either side and a view of distant mountains with nothing but green fields and forests in between. Ideal place to sit and meditate or simply be with mother nature. (Make sure you are wearing flexible clothes and good shoes so as to make the climb easy). I would recommend this place to anyone who, - is looking to get away from the city crowds and spend time in nature. - wants to practise meditation on their own or maybe learn to go deeper. - is looking to spend time in solitude. - wants to experience an ashram life. Please check their website to see the accommodation options.

Went here with a colleague of mine..one needs to book in advance.Acharya Dharana is Anand Yogi who teaches you to meditate..you can opt for his sessions. We did a session with him in cave as well. The place is well maintained, quite ,full of positive and happy vibes.Kutir or cottages are very very clean.Kutir is one studio apartment kind of stay.Duplex is also available which accomodates 3 people. Washrooms are very clean. Staff here is quite friendly and welcoming. Food is pure veg and very tasty specially the tea served here is very good. Morning trek till hilltop can be done along with MAMA,she is a pet dog who shows u the trail for the trek. There is a library as well if in case you want to spend time reading books. Also this place is great for Yoga retreats. The charges are around β‚Ή1000 per day. Some drawbacks are -the place is quite inside so your traveling costs you higher that your stay. -As this is ashram donot expect room service here. One needs to go down to fill the jug of water and to have food.

It's a great place to meditate, spend time in nature, with yourself and re-live each moment away from the city hustle. Here they teach how to meditate and yoga as well. The rooms are neat and clean and the food served is simple (vegetarian) yet delicious. If you are willing to live in a peaceful nature retreat this is a must try.
