The trek starts from the Antargange temple where there is an unknown source of stream. Easy 45 minutes hike up the boulders and then you reach a big cave system. It will take another 35 mins to cross the cave. There are narrow places inside. Activities like Rock climbing, Bouldering, Rappelling and Chimney climbing can be done here. Only one water source on top. Rocky terrain all around.

Very nice place near Kolar. History if this place is very enchanting. Also, known as the Dakshin Kashi. Main temple is of Kashi Vishwanatha. Enroute to the temple (almost 100 steps), is full of monkeys who will do everything to get food from you if you carry a carry bag. They don't bother about purse or backpacks though ?

Best place for one day trip from Bangalore. Antara Gange (also known as Anthargange) is a mountain situated in the Shathashrunga mountain range in the southeastern portion of the Indian state of Karnataka, Kolar district. Antara Gange literally means "Ganges from deep" in Kannada. It is about two miles from the town of Kolar and seventy kilometers from Bangalore. Antara Gange is famous for Sri Kashi Vishweshwara temple, also known as Kashi of South. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Best view from top and great trekking to caves. Holy water which flows always is very sweet and cool. There's lot of monkeys , so don't keep eateries in your hands.

Antargange trek has lot to offer; there is a temple, small pond, small water fall, hike trail and two caves; not counting the monkeys. There is plenty of parking available. From parking there are some stairs to the temple and pond. The trail which goes to the caves and mountain top leads from the left of the pond. There is a small water fall in the start and then the caves towards the top. The hike is easy to moderate. There are two caves on the top; big and small. It is better to take a guide for the smaller one, it is quite tight and better to leave the loose items outside. Over all a must see thing around the Bangalore.
