Energy Sector strongly emphasized the economic dimensions by way of environmentally and socially sustainable Hydropower Development in the state. Recognizing the importance of Hydro Power Sector as a key to the progress and prosperity of the State, Himachal Pradesh Government formulated its Hydro Power Policy in December, 2006 in order to promote ecological and environment friendly clean and green power. The policy specifically stipulated the quantum of continuous environment flows (E-FLOW) of the rivers and streams, Catchment Area Treatment Plans (CAT PLANS) related to the projects and creation of Local Area Development Fund(LADF) to address the grievances of the project affected people and the areas where potential sites are available. Impact Assessment of Polyhouses & Vermicompost Units in Kandaghat Block of Solan District Applications Developed Online SMS based advisory/recommendation to orchardists regarding leaf sample analysis. Resolving of interdepartmental Issues with other departments.
