★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Road side small biriyani shop on Jessore road at Amarpally Bus stop, in Dum dum locality. Biriyani is not cooked here, it is prepared somewhere else. Mutton, Chicken, Egg and Aloo (potato) biriyani is cooked in the same container. The Shop is popular among the local common people due to its low price. The position of the Shop is very good and nearby restaurants are mostly high rated and costly. Mostly take-out, dine-in facilities available only for four to six persons.

Even they have reduced the quantity a lot.
Yes, their average quality Biryani will survive unless until there is an another biryani outlet coming up near South Dum Dum Jessore Road area with that price range.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is quite easily the best biryani of Jessore Road. Chicken Biryani is priced at Rs 90 & mutton at Rs 130. Indoor seating is available.
The Biryani has a strong aroma. The quantity of chicken biriyani is quite sufficient. Size of chicken is relatively large. Potato is soft. Rice has the right quantity of oil. I think at this price point, Ashna biriyani offers incredible value with sumptuous biryani. A must try for the localite of South Dum Dum, Nagerbazar, West Kestopur, Bangur, Lake Town and Baguiati.

Earlier had given 5 star. But, their quality has surely degraded substantially. For eg their chicken although moderately large enough but its quite hard. Far from juicy. I found it unpalatable. Rice quantity is great for the spl chicken Biriyani. But the texture of the rice isn't good. The grains of the rice is sticky! Anyway, the bottomline is, I need to satiate my Biriyani cravings from someplace else!! ?
