About Axis Bank

A central tenet in the Bank’s Policy on Corporate Governance is commitment to ethics, integrity, accountability and transparency. To ensure that the highest standards are maintained in these aspects on an on-going basis and to provide safeguards to various stakeholders (including shareholders, depositors and employees) the Bank has formulated a ‘Whistleblower Policy’. The Policy provides stakeholders with the opportunity to address serious concerns arising from irregularities, malpractices and other misdemeanours, if any, committed by the Bank’s personnel by approaching a Committee of senior officials of the Bank, set-up for the purpose (known as the Whistleblower Committee). Concerns relating to senior management can be reported directly to the Audit Committee of the Board. The Policy is intended to encourage stakeholders to report suspected or actual occurrence of illegal, unethical or inappropriate actions, behaviour or practices by staff without fear of retribution. To ensure smooth flow and management of complaints under Whistleblower policy, a web-based application – www.cwiportal.com has also been set up which provides an option for anonymous reporting thereby enabling the stakeholders to lodge their complaints online over a secure platform without fear of revelation of identity. The Policy contains provisions protecting Whistleblowers from any unfair action prejudicial to their interest. The Audit Committee of the Board reviews, on a quarterly basis, a synopsis of the complaints received and the resolution thereof.

Submitted my documents for account activation a week ago, but the account was never activated. When I went to the branch to figure out what was going on, they refused to recognise me and said no activation request was made. In the end, it turns out they had my forms but forgot to process my request; Now I have to make two more rounds to complete the process.

My wife received an email that she should update her Aadhaar number in her demat account with Axis Bank. We approached the nearest branch on Main Najafgarh Road and the lady on Counter No 1 coldly told us that for all Demat account related requests, we should approach the Vikaspuri branch. I sensed something fishy because it just takes a simple form to update Address, Aadhaar etc. Anyways we took a taxi to the Vikaspuri Branch and were directed to the Operations Head’s desk. She asked us which locality we had come from. When we told her that Axis Uttam Nagar has directed us to the Vikaspuri branch, she said Aadhar update and Address change requests could have been easily taken care of by the staff there. She rang up the Uttam Nagar branch in front of us and escalated the matter to the seniors there, reassuring us that this incident had been taken care of. We filled up a simple, one page form for the Address update part and wrote an application for the Aadhar update part and left the Vikaspuri branch, thanks to the Operations Head. I am surprised even Private Bank employees in our country have become such bureaucratic pen-pushers that service standards have fallen well below the desired levels. Axis Bank employees at the various desks at the Uttam Nagar and Vikaspuri branches appeared they were misdirecting customers from one desk to another so they didn’t have to deal with them or service them. The Operations Head at the Vikaspuri branch was an exception and we are grateful to her for her time and service offerings. She set a good example for us and we are glad we were able to get things done that Saturday.

All they want to do is sell absolutely rubbish policies. Now, it seems like the only way to get basic services around the branch.

Worst branch, no knowledge on their product and services. I visited for an alternative debit card of the expired card, I was re-directed to central branch Barakhamba where a member said it can be collected from any branch.. pathetic, waste of time, they should value customer time and should get refreshers on their product and services

I closed my account in Axis bank Vikaspuri Branch (home Branch) and the account officer who assisted me in the process assured that account is closed and DD will be sent to my home address with the entire amount remaining in the account. I never received the demand draft and furthermore bank keeps on charging me random amounts. This bank is really not helpful and they really don’t care about customers who opt out of their services. #worst customer service
