B C Roy Technology Hospital - Kharagpur

Though this hospital is under IIT Kharagpur.... But it's service is very bad. The doctors don't care what are you wanting to say and sometimes they do whatever they like. Loads of tests and tablets would be referred to you by them. So from my opinion it's better to visit Govt. Hospital than to be here. Very soon IIT KHARAGPUR is going to inaugurate it's worls class hospital Dr. BC ROY HOSPITAL AND Institute MEDICAL SCIENCE. So hoping that it would be the best !!

Students and employees of IIT Kharagpur get free of cost medical service here. It has basic facilities like ECG, X-ray room etc. There is also a Frank Ross pharmacy which is open 24*7. But the number of beds and ambulance (with proper facilities) should be increased as there is a huge population of students and employees residing inside the campus.

It's a hospital inside the IIT, Kharagpur campus created for the students and staff/faculty alongwith their dependents of the institute. The hospital is having all basic facilities and also have major doctors. It has a 24 hours emergency facility with ambulance service. The visiting doctors are good and gives proper attention to the patient's problem. But you need to be doubly sure about the schedule of the visiting doctors and should not be surprised if you visit without checking the same. There is a medical shop also inside the hospital and it keeps all major medicines required by majority of the patient's. Moreover, our gives a discount of around 17 percent to students and staff/faculty and their dependents.. the hospital has adequate number of beds in wards and also has a separate ladies ward. Furthermore, there is a tight security outside the ladies ward and special attention to the safety and security is paid. There is adequate parking space available in the hospital and the area inside and around is clean, hygienic and green. The place is easily visible from the main road and has two approach gates. Mota moti you may day that it has got good basic facilities and can be useful for minor but emergency requirements of students and staff/faculty. However, the major drawback is that it does not have a trauma centre which is a very big shortcoming.

iit kgp just need a hospital .....i think this was the only reason for that it was built. doctors are careless..stuffs also...for a normal fever you will be prescribed a lot of medicines.

Only good if you have don't have some serious issues like common cold, flu, food poisoning. Its better to go somewhere else.

Dr. Archana Saha's behavior is not good.

2 stars only because it has all available doctors. And has a structure.... Poor quality examining by doctors, for whom we had to stand for hours. esp for the students...... The only good thing is it's free for students...

B. C. Roy Technology Hospital, IIT - KGP situated near lake is providing Emergency Unit, Indoor Dept. For Male and Seperately for Female Ward And also Outdoor Dept.for treatment for Students and Staffs & their families at free of cost and also providing services in out door to the parents of students on payment basis. Services are more or less satisfactorily.
