★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Bakkhali bus stand is the terminal and last point before Bakkhali sea beach, end of NH-12. It has two bus stand back to back, one is for private bus service and other for Govt bus service. You can board a bus for Namkhana, Kakdwip, Kulpi, Diamond Hubour, Esplanade, Howrah, etc.
This is very attractive and proper place where Hotel,Guest House, eating houses, other shops of necessities are nearby. Adi Bangashree AC Hotel is quite good for lunch and dinner, located opposite to bus stand. The area is maintained by Gangasagar-Bakkhali Development Authority. The Toto service available for sightseeing, (Fraserganj, Henry Island, etc) and any other need. In my opinion, staying in Bakkhali be a convenient option.
Most Important: The solo tourist wants to get accommodation in Hotel or Guest Houses are strictly prohibited by the authority, do not visit alone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very busy bus stand.any one can get available bus service from here to kolkata, dharmatala,majkhane, -govt.or private busses.but there is no pay & use toilet, no waiting room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is developing fast. The private bus stand is near to state bus stand by couple of meters only and lots of buses are making way to this place due to sea beach attraction. Number of hotels are available on both sides of the bus stand by few minutes walk only and so does the sea beach , including AC and non AC restaurants just near by the bus stand.
The place gets deserted by 9PM so advisable to reach bakkhali max. by 8PM considering safety. Buses are available to Namkhana since early morning say 5:30 am.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bakkhali is our Bengali's tourist destination. Perfect place for a short trip.People who are thirsty to travel from Kolkata can visit Bakkhali in a day.But the development of Bakkhali as a tourist destination did not go as expected.No such infrastructure has been developed at the bus stand in Bakkhali. All the buses parked on the side of the road, no toilets, no seating. Hopefully, in the next stage, the beautiful infrastructure of Bakkhali bus stand will be developed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Buses for namkhana kakdwip and Esplanade are available here.The bus stand is not well maintained as the private buses are standing on the roadside. the wbtc buses has a separate parking space.buses are available every hour.the fare is also pocket friendly,the fare for namkhana is 25-28.this is located at 3 minutes walking distance from sea beach.
