β β β β β One of the best famous sweet shops. I will highly recommend this shop.
Hope the owner continue business keeping their feet at ground , not just running their business in the name of legends,tradition blah blah.
Some of Kolkata's famous sweet shops just running business with old fame, not quality and with unnecessary illogical price . Its good to see till date this shop is the exclusion.
Taste is really good. Caters a wide range of sweets. Packaging is fantastic. Price is on higher side but keeping other pointers in mind I say it's worth it.
Ambience and hygiene must be appreciated.
Place is quite big to cater crowd.
Enough stuff to handle the business quite systematically. Behaviour is nice.

β β β β β Whatever I tried , it blew my mind . Especially the baked doi and baked roshogolla . The price is absolutely reasonable for what they offer but the taxes seem little extra. And this outlet near paddapukur never disappoints , they mostly have everything in stock while the other outlets lacks that .

β β β β β A wonderful exotic exciting sweet shop est in 1885. The variety of soft doughed cold slaw preparations (sandesh) in various flavours, shapes and colours is unbeatable and impeccable. The sheer enormity of its variety and class leaves one dreamy eyed. In addition it has many new preparations amd fusions sweets , misti doi, souffle'(specially the nolen gurer ). It has a signature prep called baked rosogolla (specially the one made with palm gur -khejur/nolen gur) which is simply out of this world. Slow heat and eat and you'll not have like having anything else. Besides it also has kulfi and loads of beg snackys. Specially the veg cutlets and dum aloo with luchi. Overall it's simply brilliant and aptly it has an acronym *misti magic* . One shouldn't miss it. It has various outlets all across kolkata but the parent branch and manufacturing unit is at bhowanipur.

They have expanded and opened multiple outlets in the city but quality has remained the same as they supply the same sweets at each of their outlets through their delivery vans. My favourites are Baked Rossogolla, Chocolate Mud pie, Jalbhara, Bon Bon Sandesh

β β β β β Ordered baked chomchom online. This is what I get. Doesn't expect this from a such an old reputed sweet shop. Called the shop , whoever there was decided to remain silent and do nothing.
Update: after repeated calls and talking with customer care, they finally sent me a fresh batch in return of these , but 5 hours later

β β β β β Huge sweetshop whose fame is only rivalled by the love that locals have for the brand. The staff are friendly and will suggest sweets to you based on your likes and whether you want to have it then or packed.
I found the much hyped baked rosogolla to be a little underwhelming but the kheer kadam, lovong latika, mishti dahi, varieties of shondesh and other sweets went beyond my expectations. They have to be tasted to be believed.

β β β β β Easily the best place in Kolkata to savor sweets. The variety will spoil you for choice, and you will always want to pack some more.
Their pure veg lunch dishes ( to be bought in bulk) are also tastefully done, pun intended.
You can never go wrong buying from this place, just go ahead!
