β β β β β Rather with my experience , i must give it a 5 star rating, because.. being in south calcutta , this confectionery is continuously giving its customers the best sweets with a reasonable price and the ancient ambience filled with profound service.
We can see here the waiter system..that is pretty amazing for a heritage shop...
The amazing item we tried is the renowned kochuri and dal...along with special langcha and rasogolla.
Specific to say...the kochuries were so well stuffed and tasty..3 is just over for an adult person. The dal was so yummy and well cooked with less amount of oil and premium in taste.
Major thing is its langchas.10 rs each..and the size, wowww, just splendid..tastes also very good. One is enough for two i say. Rasogolla was also good.
One interesting thing i explored is that..there is seperate sitti g arrangment for ladies and family. That is smoke free zone. Very well cultural by the way.
We also tasted tea. Quite good there..
Anyone can reach here by bus...just on the stoppage of asutosh college.
I must insist the food lovers to try it.β€

β β β β β Not that great as described in many blogs. I am surprised..No options of Kochuri. Only dal kochuri available and that also normal temperature. No hing or karaishutir kochuri. So old establishment, they should take care of their rehabilitation and modernisation

β β β β β One of the best places to have breakfasts in the city. An iconic place serving breakfast and sweets for last 80 odd years. Got 5 pieces of luchi with chholar dal, 5 pieces of their famous lyangchas and 500 gms of mishti doi packed for home. The service is fast, the owner is polite and so are the workers.

β β β β β I was visiting Sree Hari after a period of 4 years and first time post lockdown. The good news is that kochuri - cholar dal tastes the same or as good as it has always been. I didn't like the pantua especially if I were to compare the taste with the ones available at Mithai. The cost has also increased to Rs.8 for kochuri and one plate has serving of 4 large kochuri along with cholar dal. There is a wash basin for cleaning your hand and seating is available for 50+ plus people in two seperate areas. The restaurant cum sweet shop is situated at a walking distance from Ashutosh College.
