There is a dispute on the builders of this structure. Some scholars attribute it to Fateh Jung Khan, rival of Raja Man Singh (1592 onwards), whereas another group of scholars attributes it of Mir Kasim Ali Khan (prior to 1763), the Nawab of Bengal. There is a common arched gallery in front of all these apartments facing the interior court, in the centre of which it is said, stood a square building chiefly made of wood and known as ‘Rang Mahal’. At present we do not find any traces of such a Rang Mahal. Beautiful Jama mosque and Ganga river is adjacent to this palace.

Nice historical place in Sahibganj. Major portion has been destroyed., Only few portion is left. Nicely maintained by ASI. But less popular on tourist map. Govt should take initiative to make this place among crowd. It's an honor of Sahibganj and Jharkhand.

Baradari is a periodic building that was considered a social symbol among the South Asian Muslim royals. The buildings used to have twelve doors which is why it is called ‘Baradari’ as ‘Bara’ in ‘Urdu’ means ‘twelve’ and ‘Dar’ means ‘Door’. . Square in shape, Baradari had three doorways on all its sides. It was mostly used to host religious congregations or live performances and private concerts by various musicians and poets in front of the ruling kings. Baradari, due to its many doors was known for circulating fresh air and therefore was also used by the kings to relax during the hot summers.

The place is currently maintained by Archiological Department and maintained in a good way. But, most of the parts of this place was already ruined before it is taken over by the Govt. The construction was made at a moderate height which can be accessed through stairs. The serene nature here is very attractive which is enhanced by a big waterbody just below. One can see a vast part of Rajmahal plains from the place. It is very near to Rajmahal by road and is a must visit for the Rajmahal traveller.
