One star for the overly priced plants. Minus 4 stars for the horrible experience I’ve gone through. I am a plant lover. For me a dying plant also has potential and will to live provided we give our best to save it. In Oct 2021, I bought a red lipstick palm, very beautiful and tall for Rs. 3000 along with other plants worth Rs. 26000 for my office and home space. The staff at Bhavan’s only cares about selling and apart from one lady who just keeps selling you stuff, other workers are lazy and have a weird attitude. They don’t seem to be caring for plants. They don’t even like the fact that they have to work because a customer is buying a great deal if plants from them. Something is really off in such a beautiful and old campus with so much greenery. I asked the staff to carefully pot all the plants, I even bought pots from them. I specifically asked for potting the red palm properly because I don’t intend to repot it for at least a year. They also advised to not re-pot it. I had kept the palm at bright spot indoors as they told me that it was meant to be an indoor plant. Though I knew palms can do well in full sun too as they mature but to add some colour to my living room I preferred keeping in indoors. We watered it as directed by the old lady in Bhavan’s who also told me she will visit my home once to check on plants. I tried calling them but they always found ways to avoid that option. Also, the helpers who were supposed to transfer my plants to the office n home building premises asked for Rs. 1000 to take the plants to the exact address using lift. Lol. They just left the plants at parking and didn’t bother to help transfer them to the location. The palm started showing rotting of stem when I wasn’t watering it too much or too less. They asked me to repot it. To my shock, as I started taking the plant out of the pot, the black plastic that they usually keep plants in nursery wasn’t fully removed. The pot holes were not covered with stones. The roots had rotten by then. As a plant lover who has close to hundred plants at home, I felt bad and as a customer I was cheated. I called them up. First of all they don’t pick calls. As I sent them WhatsApp msgs, I got a call back offering a replacement. After that it’s been a month, they never follow up. Today I called them to check on it… so they have told me to bring the plant to them and that I’ll have to pay more and bear travel expenses too. This is outright loot. Never going to recommend them. There are many plant nurseries better than their rude manager and staff. What can we do to bring this to notice of authorities?

One star less for the terrible attitude of the nursery staff.. good collection of indoor and outdoor plants. Fertilizer, soil, gardening tools, etc.. Convineniently located for plant lovers of Andheri....
