This ashram is situated in Jadu bazar area, precisely in in narrow lane, starting just opposite to the famous sweet shop of Balaram Maiilck. The nearest Metro station is Netaji Bhawan, which is only about 300 meters away.
This is the Kolkata branch of the famous Bhola Giri Ashram of Hardwar a pioneer of the famous Dashami Sampraday (Sect) of His Highness Acharya Shankar.
The visitor may arrive on any day within 7 am to 1130 am, and 4 pm to 830 pm for prayers, meditation, listening to the discussions on the Upanishad, Vedanta, Gita and other holy books of the Sanatana Dharma. On the auspicious days the Hindu Festivals, special functions and puja prayers are performed. The best is perhaps the Navratri Festival.
The ashram has its publication section and library too.
It's a favourite place for many who wants peace and self improvement.
The best part are the Sadhus and the Sannyashis to talk with for self introspection.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is in Mahesh Chowdhury Lane, Padda Pukur.This place is just opposite of my residence. No doubt this Volanand Ashram is very tidy and peaceful place to visit. Every Sanyasi and Saadhu's behaviour is good. Hanumanji's temple is situated inside the Ashram's premises. People comes and take darshan of Hanumanji regularly. Peaceful and nice place to visit.
