Big Red Tent - Mumbai

We had a fantastic stay at the Vasind property. The place was great and the host Wayne and team made our stay super comfortable.  We also thoroughly enjoyed our dip in the clean, cool river in the evening.

Awesome Place as Quick gateway from city grind. Food is simple and sumptuous. I would advise a 2 nights trip at least to really enjoy the calmness. Wayne is friendly, doesn't wait for you to talk to him; he comes in, interacts with you and makes you feel welcome.

Solo travelled to the Big Red Tent Karnala in November 2020. Had an amazing camping experience. Spread over a few acres, the property is beautiful. There is a 45 minute Trek to the Ranshet Damn where one can go Kayaking or just sit and relax by the lake. The hospitality and service at Big Red Tent Karnala was fantastic. Zaid, Viju and the rest of the team are perfect hosts.

Amazing place if you like to be one with nature. Very tranquil, in fact my ears took some time to adjust to the quiet and peace of this place. The river flowing next to the tents is simply an awesome experience. Place is kid-friendly and the staff is helpful and polite. Toilets are very clean and so are the tents. Not a single insect was there in our tents! which is remarkable. Was a bit hot during the afternoon, but once the sun went down, there was a marked nip in the air. There are outdoor games like badminton and cricket and board games like chess, ludo, etc. available for kids and adults alike. Food is simple, but tasty and the host is a very welcoming chap with lots of stories to tell :) Really great place, not too far from Mumbai.

We were a group of 4 school friends wanted to take a break from the panademic induced work from home and planned this camping with Big Red Tent and believe me was an awesome experience...Very clean setup with super quality tents and bedding inside. Lots to do around like river walk, small hikes, kayaking and just walking around in the lush green plantations around. Breakfast as well as barbeque dinner was top notch. Super clean well mantained washrooms. Very helpful staff and the host Nitesh will go out of the way to make ur stay memorable. Will strongly suggest to experience the camping stay.

I have visited their Kalhe campsite four times to be precise and my experience has always been a good one. Khaala dishes out yummy beg and nonveg food for the campers while Zaid and his gang of young boys look after bonfire, tent setup, BBQ, and other arrangements. Considering the pricing per person, 2240rs including GST is just not fair. It only includes your evening snacks like tea/coffee with biscuits, bonfire, BBQ, dinner (dal rice for vegetarians and egg curry rice for non vegetarians) tent stay, next day breakfast, parking, and a mini nature trail post dinner. If you want to have lunch the next day, you will be charged an additional amount of 300bucks for a full meal comprising of chicken sukka, chicken gravy, chapati, dal rice, sweets, salad (for non vegetarians). Also if you want to go kayaking or boating then the charges amount to 200 for baiting and 300 for kayaking. That excludes the tempo guy who takes you to Ransai lake and brings you back (charges were 700rs the last time I visited). Nreakf options were bread butter jam, poha, and bhurji pav. Not worth 2240rs

Good experiance those who like nature and tent houses

I stayed in BRT VASIND, we went to celebrate the new year’s. I was with my 8 months old furry baby. The tents are at a beautiful location facing a clean river. My pet Buzzo thoroughly enjoyed a swim every day in the river. The washroom facilities are excellent they are very clean and I was given a key to one of the washrooms for my exclusive use. The property itself is .very quiet and the surroundings are very serene surrounded by lots of lush green trees and lots of greenery. The tents are very cosy and the staff ensure that your tents are always zipped up so that insects and mosquitoes don’t enter your tent. I had intended to stay for two nights and three days but the place was so amazing that I decided to extend it by one more night. The highlight of the place is the super friendly staff and excellent food. The property manager Mr PRADIP and his team consisting of Prakash Akash Shravan and their cook Bhaskar ensure that your stay is extremely extremely extremely comfortable. The team in Vasind do not have the word NO in their dictionary. I had observed that the other guests at the property had made lot of requests to the team and never did any of the staff members refused to comply, this shows the team is completely dedicated to ensure that your stay is as comfortable as possible and meets your expectations. As I had extended my stay by one day I ran short of clothes to wear as I had packed only for two nights only. Once again I was taken by surprise when the property manager Mr PRADIP volunteered to take one set of clothes to his house to clean and launder them and returned it to me the next day morning neatly ironed, this shows that the team leader at the property leads his team by setting an example for the rest The property owner also takes a walk around the property at least 3 to 4 times a day, Speaks to the guests to get feedback and to make sure that they are happy with their stay in their property. The staff every day in the morning make a dedicated effort to find out what your meal preferences are i.e. for breakfast lunch and dinner and the food is always made fresh and served to you at the time that you want it. My pet Buzzo was also thoroughly pampered he was given freshly cooked food which consisted of rice, chicken etc.They even took the effort to make the chicken pieces boneless as my baby cannot eat chicken with bones. The boy who maintains the property i.e. the caretaker Mr Shravan is a very quiet and humble gentleman and always ensures the property is kept clean I had seen him regularly dusting in front of the tents, around the property and even regularly cleaning the washrooms to ensure that the leaves that fall from the trees on the property are not bothersome to the guest when the weather is windy. This was my first time camping experience and also for my pet, I would really like to thank the team at Vasind for doing such a fantastic job which will keep me as their loyal customer for life.
