The Biryani
Biryani is prepared in an earthen pot called Handi, the rice and meat are layered, bottom and top layer are always rice. An interlayer of some condiments is introduced between the meat and the rice. Hyderabadi Biryani is the kachay gosht ki Biryani or the dum Biryani, where the meat is marinated and cooked along with the rice. It is left on slow fire or dum for a fragrant and aromatic flavour. Lucknowni or Awadhi Biryani is a pakki Biryani. The rice and meat are generally partially cooked separately in spiced water, then layered and cooked by the dum pukht method. Kolkata Biryani is much lighter on spices and uses potato & egg to enhance its flavour. It is a sub variant of Lucknowi style of Biryani. BBK uses one of the most expensive branded rice, stringently selected meat pieces and vegetables, Kerala carefully sourced spices, authentic age old recipes to make its Biryani. On top of it, BBK Biryani is cooked individually & fresh in the same Handi as it is served to you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was down with covid, thought of ordering a nice biryani to feel good but it went otherway round. Biryani by kilo used to deliver biryani in minimum 90 mins but to my luck I received order within 38 mins. Biryani wasn’t coocked in handi, rice were over boiled, a tasteless biryani, after informing bbk executive with understanding my situation he offered me a free matka firni on next order and even chef told that biryani is nice just by seeing pic of biryani, wow. All-in-all biryani was tasteless and customer service too. And please stop making fool of customers that you guys make biryani in handi..!! Pathetic. Pathetic. Pathetic

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Biryani by Kilo is one of my favourite outlets for ordering kebabs and biryanis. They have launched South India food menu.
Delivery was on time. Food was packed and labelled properly.
Chicken Ghee Roast – Chicken was succulent and melted in mouth. It was spiced well with curry leaves and cooked to perfection. This went well with Ulte tawa ka paratha. MUST TRY!!
Malabar Chicken Biryani – Had Malabar chicken biryani for the first time. It was aromatic, tasted fresh and yum.
Double ka Meetha – It was crisp and custard topping was thick. It was garnished with nuts.
