Block field, Godda - Godda

Not suffcient place and riad

This field is known as Block Ground as it is situated behind Godda Sadar Block( Community development block and Revenue Circle Office) under Godda District Administration. Presently its old size and shape has been squeezed by development of several officers colony and ongoing structural engineering of Government projects. Renowned Lord Shani Mandir is also situated near by field which is a place of worship and also a place of attraction.

The ground is in front of the Block Office of Godda. It is currently used as a playground. It does not offer any sports training facility. Children and adults play here football and cricket. Adults are also seen taking walks in morning and evening. Snacks stalls set up around it in the evening. There are a couple of tea shops towards the main road edge. A temple of Shani Dev is situated in North corner of the field.

Good space for games but ground needs actual maintenance work... Vehicles come and go all the time which disrupts play. Rain makes whole ground muddy. There is no dust bin placed any where near the ground.

Nice playgroung. People often comes for jogging and morning walk. All play cricket,football and other games.It is government's property used as Block headquarters.Government buildings and Residence quarters are made recently .

Godda was a part of undivided Santhal Pargana district until 1981 census. Later, the old Godda sub-division of Santhal Pargana was separated and formed as a new district. The district of Godda was created on 17 May 1983 out of old Santhal Pargana district which was upgraded to the level of division. Godda(M), the only one town of the district, is the headquarters of Godda district, Godda subdivision and Godda block. It is a field near godda block office. Where shree shanidev Maharaj mandir is situated .. playground is also there

It was a best place for every age people till 2012..but slowly it started to loose its charm due to exploitation ( block office,govt staff quarters,one stop centre ,etc has been constructed in half part of the field )but still people come here for morning and evening walk..This field need govt attention as well as care !
