Some local tournaments are also played (cricket, football) throughout the year by various organisations. It's a big ground and one of the oldest. But nowadays the ground condition is very poor many holes and garbage in the ground.

BLYS means Burdwan Loco Young Specialty. This was formed in 1662 by railways persons of that time for their sons. This football ground is now used by outsiders also. This ground mainly used for football practice. Gautam Sarkar a veteran football coach gives football coaching here. One of the famous football player emerge from this ground is Sandip Nandi. Played in both East Bengal and Mohan Bagan clubs and also in national team of India.
