★ ★ ★ ★ ★ British Council is like a Pit stop- a place where you come to recharge your English skills and carry on.
Best for IELTS in Kolkata.
Though you can also opt for other courses like General English, Spoken English.
The library facility is not included in these courses. ₹1800 is the library fees for one year.
Mr. Aich a faculty from British Council, Kolkata definitely needs an appreciation for his way of teaching.
The other faculties are quite good too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Undoubtedly a heaven for book lovers. I became a member of its library last year and hadn't looked back. With a well maintained atmosphere between members and the staff, it's perfectly a peaceful space to get drowned into books and enjoy the peace the study space has to offer.
Loved it and is eager to comeback more and more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Regarding Civil service book section- Be mentally prepared to come across authors and publishers:
1. You have never heard of esp when it comes to GS1.
2. Not come across authors you were expecting to see up on the bookracks.
Definitely good for students from English Literature discipline and Sciences.
- Cafe is not open due to COVID restrictions.
- Despite what some may say there are bean bags and tables where you can read.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No, doubt this place is haven for the newly learner,who wants to improve there English but at a very high cost.
For jobs preparation like interviews and GD,they have the cracked course which cost 8999, for 12-14 classes for a month, which mean per class cost u 599-799, which is too expensive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Council was closed, yet security were there and it was good. I had to inquire about the IELTS, and it went smoothly. Please don't visit the place right now, my fellow mates, until next notice after 3rd Jan 2022 :)
