Stop is okkk but not as it must be. Most important cleaniness at the stop is not satisfactory one .But it is good and lively place .Church of Kasauli is visible from here. More facilities are required in this stop for the local peoples and for tourists as Kasauli is emerging tourist area .

We parked our car at the start of ghatkal and took a taxi from there to kasauli as roads were narrow and crowdy(Bus also available)Taxi wala took 150. While returning, we took a bus back to ghatkal which costed us rs5 per person. Buses were neat and ofcourse fast as drivers are so used to the hilly roads.

Location of the bus stand is good as it is located in the heart of kasauli. Just opposite to the famous church. And on the back of kasauli mall road. But it is not properly maintained. Only some local buses are available. Direct buses to big cities like chandigarh, delhi and even shimla are hardly available!

Entrance to Kasuli is very funny. The cantonment will charge Rs100 just for entry in town where in providing no facilities. Tell them that you will park your vehicle at bus stand and don't pay. I mean 100 rupees is not big amount but for nothing it feels like loot.

I'm coming to Kasauli since my childhood since I'm from Chandigarh. The best part about Kasauli was it's natural beauty. Yesterday, after a break of almost 2 years due to COVID, i came here and to my surprise I see this shiny new bus stand with multilevel parking, an upgraded toll with 150% more parking charges (and accumulating even more over next hours) and a total change in the landscape thanks to it. Earlier, the entry charges used to be 20 rupees for two wheelers and 50 for four wheelers, for entire day's entry obviously. Now, the revised charges are 50 rupees for two wheelers, 150 rupees for four wheelers and these are only for the next four hours, afterwards you have to pay 10 rupees per hour for 2 wheelers and 20 per hour for four wheelers. They explained the hike in entry charges as they have to pay for the new bus stand and also now you cannot go further with your bikes and cars, you have to park them in the multilevel parking compulsorily. There was no taxi stand inside Kasauli earlier since all destinations are less than 1 kilometre from city centre and you can actually walk and reach within half an hour. But now, you can get a taxi from the newly made taxi stand where those guys would charge you 1000 bucks for a day since you cannot take your private vehicle inside any further from the bus stand. And speaking of the new bus stand, that structure is horrible. Kasauli's aforementioned natural feel and beauty is gone, that town is never gonna be the same again anymore. Probably the upgradation or improvement in the bus stand was required, but the new structure and plan they came up with has totally ruined the area's beauty and believe me, I can confirm this well since I know the place well, that every single tourist (regular ones) who would visit Kasauli would be disgusted by the bus stand because this is not what the city needed or even desired. Almost all of the local shopkeepers I talked to and asked their opinions about the new bus station, confirmed that they hate it and even wanted to stop it's construction when it was going on and never realised how bad it would be once completed. That thing is a total waste of environment and resources, and as heavy hearted I am saying this with, but this was probably my last ever trip to Kasauli, I am never coming back to the town ever again. Maybe Morni hills, maybe Solan, or direct Shimla I don't know, but Kasauli definitely no. This wasn't the Kasauli I needed or desired, the town I was familiar with is gone forever now.
