About Cafe Lungta

We are a small neighbourhood bar, and our philosophy is in a song, by Toby Keith - "I Love This Bar".

A first of its kind in Gurgaon, with a complete experience of the 1920's Prohibition Era in America, where you Speakeasy every time you want to come in, Cocktails & Dreams is a bar where you will revisit the golden age of cocktails from top of the line Classics to the New Age Straights, surrounded by the tales of Bootleggers, Rum Runners and Moon-Shiners, in a contemporary yet warehouse like atmosphere; where good service and value for money are the key USPs. This is purely a “Bartender’s Bar”, where not only do you get some world class drinks but also some great conversations if you please. Folks you are most likely to meet at the bar - Yangdup Lama and Minakshi Singh. Yangdup has been in the bartending business for the last seventeen years and is regarded as one of India’s top Bar Gurus. He has contributed to the industry as a Mixologist, Trainer, Consultant and a Cocktail Judge. This CNBC Young Turk, runs a bartending school, beverage consultancy and a mobile bartending company under the banner of Cocktails & Dreams. Speakeasy is an extension of Cocktails & Dreams to bring a completely new beverage experience to the consumer. If you drop in, Yangdup might fix a cocktail just for you! Minakshi Singh is a hotel management graduate and has been in the beverage business for the last eight years, as a bartender initially and then in marketing for liquor companies. She takes care of marketing and communications at the bar. You might meet her serving guests in the evening!

Nice little cafe in the sector 15 market. I loved the ambience and the light music being played. Food was a mix of great and ok. Loved the pork shyapta which came with a tingmo (I've had better tingmo elsewhere in Gurgaon though). Momocha (Momos in some tomato based gravy) were just ok. I expected the Momos to be juicier. The thali was nice with a couple of interesting vegetables and the meat dish was flavorful too.

It is a unique place with a pre-independence ambience, the switches, the paints, the lights, the darkness provides a unique ambience. The cuisine is exclusively nepalese - and might be the most authentic food that I have eaten in this neighborhood. Though I am a huge fan of thupka and momos I would prefer the indianized versions of these nepalese food items. Many cafes that served these items in hyderabad or in Delhi have indianized them. For example the thupka would be thicker and they would serve it with other indian cuisine offering more choice but not here. The staff is super responsive and cheerful. The most important thing about this cafe is what is in the basement - the speakeasy bar is the main offering and this cafe lungta is only a store front. The nepalese music in the background adds to the ambience.

By far the best Tibetean food in Gurgaon. Best part is that one can order the cocktails from cocktails and dreams, the speakeasy in the basement. These guys serve the best cocktails in Delhi NCR, hands down. A must try is the coffee martini. I must visit if you are craving pork and tingmo and momos. Also, ample parking in the market and it's not as crowded as other places in Gurgaon.

It was my first experience of Tibetan food and it’s worth visiting this place. All vegetarian dishes had different flavours ??

A bit expensive one but offer a wide variety of authentic Himalayan food. Hospitality of staff was very nice and food taste also good. Ambience and music is also really good. Has a bar as well. We used Zomato Gold so didn't hurt the pocket much, a full meal to cost around 300 and cold coffee as 220. You may try once and decide for yourself. Thukpa was served in wooden bowl, which we really liked.

Found the food taste pretty average & bland. It has authentic Tibetan & Nepalese food, different from the regular Chinese, south Asian cuisine restaurants, but still, it does not leave you with any particular taste in the mouth that makes you want to come back again and again.

This is one hidden gem in the market of Sector 14. It is a himalayan cuisine casual dining restaurant with options if takeaway, delivery and dine in. They have a large collection of liquors available. The food, drink and ambience is very nice and cozy. When it comes to customer service all the staff but specially Mr. Amay stands apart, as he not only knows the dishes of the place so well but has the ability to customise them as per taste and preferences of his guests. Must visit place for dinner with friends and family.
