★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ummm...!! One of the oldest cafe in exact market place in Panjim serving since 1962 for the authentic Goan style food. We were lucky to get bf as unlike other restaurants in Panjim market this place starts early in the morning ?. Good hygiene, good staff, good service and good food quality with average food prices. Must visit place for Goan style cuisine. Thank you ???.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have all my years and times in Goa had a wonderful experience at Cafe Real, until this morning. This morning I decided to have breakfast as I was in Panjim. I ordered a mix Bhaji, bread, 1 samosa and tea.
For some reason I just could not finish my bhaji ( which was almost the full plate. So I told the server to please pack it for me. While I finished my tea I noticed that the plate of bhaji was still on my table. I requested the server again. After much time the bhaji was cleared from my table as I requested to pack it. The bill was placed on my table for Rs115 which I happily paid.
When I got my change back I received Rs5/- less which I was fine with . However, I noticed that my bhaji which I requested had not been packed. So I walked across the cash counter since there was a family waiting for the table with a child. I asked the person on the cash counter(who is also the owner) has my bhaji been packed and brought from the kitchen. To that he said no...
So, I decided to walk across to the kitchen counter to collect it from there. I saw the server and asked him again about the bhaji I asked him to pack. He just ignored me and gave a deaf ear. I thought he heard me and will pack it after handling what he was doing. But that was not the case, so I asked him again. Have you packed the bhaji or should I leave, to that he turns around and tells me that I am busy. You should ask the other person in the kitchen. I told him I do not like your attitude and the way you are speaking to me and immediately reported the matter to the owner at the cash counter.
This seems all silly, however the point I am looking at making here is that I deserved to be treated like any other customer. I have been a long customer at Cafe real. For one now I will never walk into that restaurant again. The server who mistreated me is one of their oldest staffs. So I fail to understand why have I been mistreated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been going here since I was a kid and they never disappoint. A great place for tea and evening snacks or morning breakfast. Staples like mix bhaji pao or patal/sukhi bhaji pao are crowd favourites but their puri bhaji, caapa and other offerings are great too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was in a bad mood and I thought of visiting this cafe to lighten up my mood…… butttt as soon as I went in….. THIS PLACE IS SO OVERHYPED and the food here is SOOOOOO OVERRATED TOO.
The WASHROOM WAS SOOOOOOOOO STINKY AND DIRTY. The waiters don’t even attend you. And then we ordered utammpam and Dosa which was so taste less. The bhaji was soggy and smelly. THEY BASICALLY SERVED US SPOILT FOOD. MY MOOD BECAME MORE OFF
Will never recommend this cafe.
This is an honest review I hope the owner is reading this and does major improvements.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean place. Nice service. You will find super locals here eating the bhaaji and puri. We went for that. Taste is ok ok. Super cheap place. Value for money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great joint to have hot snacks like mirchi bhajji, Vada pav, puri bhaji, poi bhaji, typically Goan masala bhaji and all other regular snacks.
Right in centre of action in downtown Panaji.
