We were lucky that we have got to see the rare collection of vintage things used by the owners of this place generation by generation. From, stuffed head of Bison to mirror made of the finest Belgium glass, to Billiards Table made from Oak, on our first visit !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very well maintained but the sad part is (what i feel) property owner doesn’t like public to visit this beautiful property may be due to some security reason. Satyajit Ray’s Ghore-Baire was filmed here. Iswarchandra Vidyasagar visited this place often as he had close connection with this Singha Ray family. He established a library and influence then landlord to create school in this locality. Also what i heard that the Sinha Ray family was very close to British and because of that reason Lord Curzon also visited this property. Still today there are rooms dedicated to Lord Curzon and Vidyasagar.
