★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ভারতের ইতিহাসে ইসলামি যুগের প্রভাব প্রবল । আর সে নিদর্শনের নানা চিহ্ন সমগ্র ভারতে ছড়িয়ে আছে - সে কথা অজানা নয় । কিন্তু এমন কিছু স্থান রয়ে যায় অপ্রচলিত গুহার কন্দরে যে তাকে সহজলভ্য়তর করে তোলা ইতিহাসের পক্ষে কখনও কখনও সম্ভব হয়ে ওঠে না । বর্ধমানের ইতিহাসের সঙ্গে মোঘল আমলের সম্পর্ক যে খুব গভীর ছিল সে কথা আজ আর নতুন করে বলার অপেক্ষা রাখেনা । সে সব কথা বহু গুণী মানুষ নিরন্তর প্রকাশ করে চলেছেন নিরলস পরিশ্রমের একনিষ্ঠতায় । সে একনিষ্ঠতার একটি পরিচয় হল খাজা আনোয়ার বেড় সমাধিস্থল । সদরঘাট যাবার পথে বেড় মোড় থেকে সামান্যই দূরে এটার অবস্থান । বেড় স্কুল এর পাশের রাস্তা ধরে এগিয়ে গেলেই আমরা চলে আসব ইতিহাসের সেই অমোঘ সাক্ষ্যের সম্মুখভাগে যেখানে দাঁড়ালে শুধু মুগ্ধ হতে হয় । ভেতরে আজও তাঁর পরবর্তী প্রজন্মের কেউ কেউ বসবাস করেন । তবে জায়গাটিকে ব্যক্তিগত সম্পত্তির আওতায় ফেলা হয়েছে এমন একটি ফলক বাইরে রাখা আছে । যাই হোক । ভেতরে এসে সামনেই দেখা যাবে বিরাট দীঘির মধ্যে একটি খোলা গৃহ । অনুমান করা যায় এখানে সঙ্গীতের আসর (ধর্মীয় কি অন্যরকম তা জানা যায়নি) বসত । এটাকে পেরিয়ে চলে এলে আমরা চলে আসব সমাধিস্থলের সামনে । প্রাকারগাত্রের প্রত্যেকটি অংশ লক্ষ্য করলে আমরা পাব শিল্প ও স্থাপত্যের কিছু কারুকার্যের নিদর্শন । এগুলো মুগ্ধ নয়নে দেখতেই হয় । এখন জানি না কি আছে তবে আমি আগে এর ঠিক সামনেই একটি গাছ গাছালি সজ্জিত প্রান্তর আছে । সেখানে গিয়ে বসে অভিরাম নয়নে এ সুরা পান করতেই পারেন ইতিহাসের শাকির পেয়ালায় ।
