★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I and my friend decided to hit this place for our comfort food, SouthIndian food. The ambience at this place is quite simple and humble, the soothing relaxing music that plays in the background is quite pleasing too. The service could have been quicker but the food is delicious and the aroma that engulfs the place is heavenly.
Here is a list of the dishes we ordered. We have arranged them as per OUR TASTEMETRE (BEST ONES FIRST) :
1. CHETINAD SPECIAL MASALA DOSA COMBO(190 Rs) : Teh Chettinad masala dosa combo includes a medu wada , a lipsmacking chettinad dosa (BEST THING EVER) and a good old coffee. Loved the dosa a little too much. Served along with two chutnies and a sambhar, the masala dosa is beyond delicious
2. Mini Gunpowder Idlis (130 Rs) : The gunpowder idlis is a basic dish made delectable by the amazing Gunpowder/podi chutney the restuarant uses. Usually they serve these in a bigger size but we went for minis as we have tiny appetites.
3. Annachi Palam Kesari/ Pineapple Sheera(110 Rs) : The pineapple sheera is very delicious. The only downside was that crushed clove powder was added to it. For some that maybe a deal maker while for some others it can act as a deal breaker.
4. Parotta with Veg Korma (220 Rs) : Veg Korma made in red gravy and served with Kerala style parota is a good dish to order. The korma curry is very homely in taste. The parottas were not that freshest and that was a disappointment for us.
Overall, good place to visit.
Revisiting? : we are visiting this place again for some chettinad dosas

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The welcome drink which are rasam shots are pretty nice and a good place to have spicy and authentic food. Quality and quantity both are relatively good and tasty. The owner of the restuarant is quite accomodative and he will help you out what to order according to your appetite. It's small but cozy place to have food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely amazing dishes. The welcome drink is Rasam served in shot glasses. Full of flavour. I tried chicken idli kothukari which was served with two types of chutneys. It was the very first time I had this combination of chicken with idly...it blew my taste buds to another level. Stomach was full but not the neeyat...so I packed chicken chettinad and iddiyappam along with chicken paniyaram.... Dinner will be equally relished. Well done team of Chettinad Tiffun and hope to see more outlets across Mumbai.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A new cosy outlet at Powai serving authentic South Indian delicacies! They serve non vegetarian versions of many famous dishes too.
We ordered:
• Chicken Kothu Kari Paniyaram ⭐- soft balls made of fermented rava & rice mixture, it had scrumptious chicken filling ?
• Mix Veggies Paniyaram⭐- had carrots & beans as the filling, recommended ???
• Kothu Parota Chicken Chettinad - wheat based parotas made in ghee served with a spicy chicken gravy
(We found the consistency of the gravy to be a bit watery, rest it was good taste wise)
• Pineapple Sheera ⭐- semolina based sweet dish made in pure ghee with chunks of pineapple and tint of clove, highly recommended! ?
• Nutella Shake - chilled milkshake with Nutella and chocolate?
Do try this place if you're looking for some really authentic taste of the South! It has a pleasing ambience as well to have good times with your friends & family!

They served varieties of dosa with many options of Veg and Non Veg .
Only South Indian cafe in Powai.
Ambience is good and good space ,suitable for family and friends.
Ample parking.
Traditional and good taste.
?Owner there at outlet , he is very helpful , guide with all the dishes and he is very nice ,good presentation , and chef Served best food.
Serve half portion available for singles.
Good Quality and Quantity!
1. Kulzhi PANIYARAM Appe
(Keema)
Served as 12pieces , stuffed with keema ,there are options in veg also.
These were amazing and Tasty .
Served with 2chutney and sambhar .
Red chutney was yummy ?.
Must try this Dish!
2. Chettinad Special Masala Dosa
Special masala dosa stuffed with yummy masala stuffing
Serves with sambhar
It was tasty .
3. Chettinad Chicken Curry with Chettinad Parota.
This one was best i ever had , the curry was so tempting and served with Parota .
Chicken was fresh and yummy and parato was good.
Highly Recommended.
4. Dessert
Annachi palam Kesari
End with the best , it was like sheera , taste so good .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want to have have authentic Chettinad food then Chettinad Tiffun is a perfect place to visit. It is a newly opened restaurant in Powai, which serves authentic south indian food. The ambience of the place is decent & service is also good.
For starters we had a Chicken Kothukari Dosa. For the first time we had chicken dosa & it was delicious. It has a filling of chicken in a usual dosa & it tastes amazing, it is served with special chicken salna, tomato chutney & coconut chutney.
For the main course we had Special Chicken Chettinad Curry with Paratha. It is a authentic chettinad curry which is medium spicy in taste goes very well with the paratha, it can also be combined with rice as well. For drinks we had usual Mojito.
For desserts we opt for 'Pineapple Sheera' it was so freshly made & tasted amazing. The sweetness was very minimal & it also had little pineappke pieces in it as well.

Mix Veg Paniyaram is just so amazing, in full it comes 12 pieces and half 6 but the taste with chutney is the best and its full of vegies from inside.
Chettinad Special Masala Dosa loved this Dosa it was perfectly made and serve with sambar and coconut chutney extremely delicious.
Kothu Parota Chicken Salna which is medium spicy in taste with Paratha.
If you want to eat Chettinad food then I highly recommend you to visit here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chettinad Tiffun is one such hidden gem in Powai at a 2 minute walking distance from the main road, serving Authentic South Indian, TamilNadu Cuisine prepared in perfect amount of spices at pocket friendly prices.
Its a very cute and small space with a seating for around 10 to 15 people at once having minimal decent decor. They have enough parking space in the outdoor.
We visited during the evening time and tried following dishes -
Chicken Kothukari Idli - Crisp idli with chicken kheema having bang on flavours cooked to perfection served with 2 chutneys and Sambar. Quantity is worth the price and taste is too good.
Chettinad Special Masala Dosa - Loved this dosa having mouth watering scrumptious taste of south Indian flavours. Extremely delicious.
Butter Podi Idli - I remember trying this dish at Idlish for the first time and I so loved it that I ordered it again over here. This is one of their signature dishes and is definitely worth trying. Its flavorful and fulfilling.
Muttai Dosai (Egg Dosa) - Tried Egg Dosa for the very first time and liked it. Another try on the menu.
Pineapple Sheera - Has a homely sheera feel with pineapple flavour.
Kumbakonam degree Coffee - Coffee with a healthy twist of palm Jaggery's sweetness. Perfect refreshment.
Cardamom Masala Tea - Their Tea is outstanding. I so loved it that I ordered another cup.Youll literally fall in love with this tea with every sip. Its extremely aromatic and refreshing.
They also serve fresh Coconut Water if you wish to have it along with this delicious food. Also we tried their Rasam as a welcome drink and its spicy, full of flavours worth trying.
The staff is very attentive and kind and helped us ordering their best dishes. Even the owner is super kind and generous. Its definitely a must must visit place in Powai after work, with friends or for quick meets over Chai.
They have outlets in Goregaon east and west and Borivali as well.
