★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A small house turned into a museum.. The owner seems to be an ardent fan of Shivaji Maharaj. The murals take you through his history in a glimpse. Also the fact that the entry fee is a mere Rs 10 is very surprising. A must visit place if you are in Matheran. It's near Echo Point.

Ticket cost is very low only ₹10 per person so that more people will visit and learn about Maharaj's life. ?
? Highlights of this museum are the beautifully carved Murals depicting Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's ? life and highlighted historic event from his life. Below those Murals you'll find short description written in a narrative way to describe the events depicted in those murals. ?
Very Informative and insightful will surely take you back in the glorious times of the greatest Maratha ruler of 18th Century. ???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were just passing by and the owner kind of invited us to be in. Was a wonderful experience. Good 20-30mins spent here took us through lot of information about the weapons used in the era of Shivaji Maharaj. Do visit! It’s a nice refreshing experience. Hats off to the guy maintaining it for the sheer love of the Maratha warrior and history. Missed out on asking for his name.

Situated at Echo point the stories engraved on the murals take you back to the Marathi era that Shivaji Maharaj visualised and brought into reality. One can see the replica of swords, Canons and armor used during that time. The entry fee is a nominal of Rs.10 per person.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A hidden gem in Matheran!! A small but clean and wonderful place highlighting Maratha history and life story of Shivaji.
Surprised that this place is not highlighted in any tour guides. We need these historical episodes and stories be showcased in bigger museums across cities. Visit to this museum was a highlight of my trip .
