Good and heritage building station . After swach bharat abhiyan CST station clean and well maintained. Very old architect building but maintained well. CST is origin for all express trains to other states of india. Incredibly this place has been classed as a world heritage monument. It is Victorian building of massive proportion facing the very busy road. And the station that lies behind it has to be seen to be believed. It is not only big by any standards but it is the chaos and the number of people that blows your mind. Definitely worth wandering inside the station to see this. The front façade is lit up at night and makes for a nice phot shop. But mind the trafiic. Not much to do but gawk and take a photo. Beautifully lit up at night! Walk through for a more real Indian travel experience. The maddening crowed great thinner as the night progress. Then one need to view the building from the viewing gallery. The grandeur of its architecture is mesmerizing. Never miss the opportunity to have the night view when you visit Mumbai.

β€˜Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus’ is the last stop of Central railway in Mumbai. It was formerly known as β€˜Victoria Terminus’ and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Mumbai. It is the main and one of the oldest and the most beautiful train stations in Mumbai. The building is one of the best examples of excellent British era architectural beauty and it is an impressive sight when it lights up at night. During our family trip to Mumbai, we visited this station and we travelled through this station. The building is huge and magnificent; the giant fans that provide air to the travellers non-stop. This station is connected with number of main cities in India with various express trains; there are separate platforms for outside trains and local trains hence it is being crowded most of the times. There is a beautiful building of Mumbai Municipal corporation Building in front of the station. Just outside of the station there is a bus stand that facilitates the passengers to travel to various commercial and local attractions such as Gateway of India. This is for sure one of the things to see in Mumbai. Be there to see how many people come into the city every day.

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, formerly known as Victoria Terminus Station, in Mumbai, is an outstanding example of Victorian Gothic Revival architecture in India, blended with themes deriving from Indian traditional architecture. The building, designed by the British architect F. W. Stevens, became the symbol of Bombay as the β€˜Gothic City’ and the major international mercantile port of India. The terminal was built over 10 years, starting in 1878, according to a High Victorian Gothic design based on late medieval Italian models. Its remarkable stone dome, turrets, pointed arches and eccentric ground plan are close to traditional Indian palace architecture. It is an outstanding example of the meeting of two cultures, as British architects worked with Indian craftsmen to include Indian architectural tradition and idioms thus forging a new style unique to Bombay.

Visited today, very controlled rush and nothing like Pre-Covid, everything going smooth and systematic. Oldest Railway Station of Mumbai. British Structure supported by Indian Renovation. After visiting we get the chance to experience Heritage and Journey both.
