★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This railway station is situated in southernmost part of Mumbai in Western line. Next two major station is Marine lines in North and churchgate in south. Very neat and clean station. The famous girgaon chowpatty is very nearby in the west of station. Lamington road is good for shopping of electronic items.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There's work being undertaken inside the station. However outside the station is a sight for sore eyes. Families living on the side, a lot of garbage around in several laces. Not at all cleared though BMC have an office across the road. All along Chikalwadi vehicles parked. Grinding stones placed by residents almost a meter away from their house on the road. 2 Cows fed. Area outside the side of Bhatia hospital dirty

This station area outside are always crowded..bus and taxi stand just outside station.people are mostly visit in Lamington road which are only 2 min walking distance from station..many Shopping items like clothes, footwear, toys etc..and food stalls,hotels are just outside station. Food stall and seating area inside station. cleaning of station are just OK.not well maintained..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Railway station in Mumbai Western Line. This place is famous for electronics market. East side of Grant road has wholesale and retail market of electronics spare parts new as well as second hand electronics and electrical spare parts. Roadside vendors also sell used electrical spare parts. Just outside the station east is the Merwan's bakery famous for its Mawa cakes. People stand in waiting for the delicious Mawa cakes. You have to be at the shop early in the morning. As you walk straight you will see Audio market where you get various audio speakers mike, TV and audio spare parts. Besides it there is LED lights market. Just adjacent to it there is Lamington road famous for Computer, printer LCD and electronics spare parts. You will also find automobile and spare parts market here. Grant road west has the famous Breach Candy Hospital. Girgaon chowpaty and Taraporewala Aquarium are close by this station. Diamond market in Girgaon was a part of Grant road once upon a time. Sahitya Sangh Mandir is one of the oldest Theatre of Marathi and hindi plays. Imperial and Naaz are oldest movie theatres. Parking is a major issue in this area as there are narrow lanes. Taxi and BESt buses are main mode of transport.
