I visited Chianti to try out their winter tasting menu. Lovely little place with decked up with a Christmassy theme and an Italian Nonna vibe. Here's my recommendations to try out if you happen to visit the place Italian Soda for the wash it down , is practically flavoured soda with whipped cream . Go in for the subtle flavours as compared to the overly sugary ones. Pizza del Chianti- thin crust pizza with mozzarella, sundried tomatoes, pesto chicken ,onions and mushrooms. Can't go wrong with that. Fettuccine Siciliana (veg/chicken) - rustic pasta in spiced tomato sauce with chicken and veggies. Done Al dente and the sauce comes through to give you that tangy flavour with the saucy texture. Ravioli with creamy mushroom sauce- Ravioli was stuffed with spinach and ricotta that paired perfect with the velvety mushroom sauce. Tiramisu- Cake, coffee liquior. I don't think I need to say more. It was good.

Had dinner at the Restaurant today. The first thing strikes about this restaurant is the ambience. The cleanliness and hygiene is maintained very good by the staff of the restaurant. The kitchen of the restaurant is visible from the dining area and is maintained clean and hygienic. The other thing we noticed is that the staff is very courteous and always maintained a smile on the face ?. Now let’s talk about the food. We had ordered in total 6 dishes. For and Indian stomach who had never tasted an Italian food, all those dishes were something out of the world. The food had typical flavours of Basil, garlic and tomato like the original Italian (as understood from reading over internet). The olive oil kept at the table was fresh and was enhancing the taste of all the food items served to us especially of crostini con carne pesto chicken. The pollo alla griglia marinate pesto was juicy and tasty like we want our chicken to be. The risotto and pasta served could have been better. The pizza was totally Italian and gives the feel of how it should be ( and how it shouldn’t be like dominos or pizza hut ? ). The most amazing thing was Tiramisu. I recommend it to be the must try desert from Chianti. The most satisfying mouthful creamy sweet delight. My mouth is watering just by the memorizing the dish ahhh.

I had gone here for lunch. I had their 3 course meal. DRINKS Overload Choco : Chocolate shake with heavy cream. ? Peach Iced Tea : This was very refreshing. ? STARTER Crostini : Loaded with veggies and cheese this was the best dish to start the meal. ? Funghai Al Forno : Baked mushroom with garlic served with veggies. One of my favourites! ? MAIN COURSE Pesto Penne : This was Basil sauce in penne pasta. This was also good. ? Cannelloni : Baked rolls with minced chicken in tomato gravy with cheese. Very filling and nicely made. ? DESSERTS Mango Cheesecake : This could have been better. The consistency was not right. Pannacotta : This tasted like custard and not like pannacotta. Overall this place is good for Italian food but not desserts. Give this place a try! ?

'Chianti' An Italian restaurant serving some real authentic food. Being established outlet in Cities like Bangalore and Chennai, Chianti have open their doors in Pune at Viman Nagar. Chianti is located at 3rd floor of Phoenix Market city. I am so happy that now I have a go-to place for my Italian cravings. ?Ambience - Wow, the minute you enter this place, there is a flash of royalty and peace. Really loved the decor, sitting space and open kitchen concept. With the soothing light and good vibes you will surely have a good time here. ?Food - After we placed our order and were waiting for our food, we received a complimentary dish from Chianti 'Make your own Bruschetta'. They will also give you a card which explains steps to make your own bruschetta. I was really impressed with this concept and had fun making the bruschetta. And here we received our order. ?Classic Italian Soda - Ordered Peach Italian Soda and Strawberry Italian Soda. We enjoyed these chill and refreshing drinks. I am really a fan of Strawberry Italian Soda now. ?Starter : In starter we had Non-Veg Platter. This platter served -> Crostini Pesto Chicken -> Calamari Fritti -> BBQ Grilled Chicken -> Gamberoni Aglio Olio Epeperoncino -> Fried Fish. The dishes name itself indicates how traditional Italian dishes they are. Each dish in the platter was delicious, unique and worth a try. ?Main-course - In Main-course, we had -> Fusilli Pasta Arrabiata Sauce - This is a red sauce pasta. A bit spicy but super awesome. -> Pollo Alla Griglia Pizza - A chicken pizza with thin crust base. Pizza was very less spicy. This was my first pizza which did not have Indian touch at all. Chianti is surely a good place to try actual Italian Pizzas. ?Desert - In desert we ordered Panna Cotta. A Italian Vanilla panna cotta served with berry compote and fresh fruit slice. ?Overall, I really loved this place for amazing ambience, refreshing drinks and delicious food. The staff and the service is excellent and ready to serve.

Chianti - कियांति इटालियन रेस्टौरंट #ItalianCuisine #AmazingExperience Chianti is an Italian cuisine specialty restaurant and is located in the phoenix market city; it is a Bangalore based brand having their presence in Bangalore, Chennai and now in Pune. The name of restaurant is inspired from Chianti region of Italy which is pretty famous for wines. The décor of this place is cozy and impressive, the seating arrangement is extremely comfortable having a capacity of around 85 pax. They have a see through kitchen which is one of the finest ones which I have seen. As confirmed from the management very soon they will be serving liquor as well. Italian Soda: The beverage is prepared from Ice, soda and cream on top with respective flavor compote. We tried Strawberry and Berries flavor. Strawberry one was superb in taste, berries was very mild for me, I could hardly feel the taste of berries in it, may be adding a little more of berry compote will enhance its taste. #Recommended Blended Beverages: These are similar to thick shakes and are prepared with Ice and Milk only. We tried Mocha-Cream and Mint-Choco chip. Both were excellent in consistency and superb in taste. #Highlyrecommended Starters Calamari: Calamari was served along with a tangy marinara dip and was good in taste. The coating was crispy and it wasn’t too oily. The dip was flavorful and really impressive. #Recommended Pesto Chicken Strips: Grilled Chicken breast portion strips were coated with a thin layer of pesto sauce prepared with some mild herbs was excellent in taste. The basil flavor was not overpowering and the chicken was cooked to perfection. #Musthave Cold Press Juices: These are the healthy juices prepared with no added sugar and water. We tried Apple Beet Carrot (ABC) and Pineapple basil with chia seeds. Both were nicely done and were truly refreshing. #Highlyrecommended. Pesto Chicken Pizza: IA thin crust base with ample chicken toppings done in pesto sauce, Italian herbs, sun dried tomatoes, roasted onions, mushroom, olive oil, tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella cheese was superb in taste. The base was well baked with crispy edges. #Musthave. Mozzarella Fritters: Fritters prepared with generous quantity of gooey mozzarella cheese was good in taste, it had a crispy coating and wasn’t oily. #Recommedned for cheese lovers. Prawns Tortellini: Handmade Tortellini stuffed with prawns, bell peppers & mascarpone cheese was done in a tangy sauce with black olives was one of the best tortellini which I have had; the sauce was rich and exceptional in taste. #Musthave Pasta We tried the prawns (Linguine Alla Pescatore) and the veg version (aglio olio), both were superbly done. The prawns one was done in a light marinara sauce which is excellent in taste and the veg one was the classic done with fresh tomatoes basil and the tossed with spaghetti. Desserts Tiramisu: The Tiramisu was light airy and nicely done, however it was lacking the strong punch of coffee and the touch of alcohol was also missing. Do give it a try! Chocolate Mud Pie: Chocolate mud pie was usual offering along with vanilla ice cream, nothing to complaint about. Recommended for chocolate lovers. Pannacotta: The Vanilla panna cotta was rich and smooth but I felt that it was not a melt in mouth types. It was topped with berry compote. Overall: Most of the dishes which we tried were truly impressive and I can definitely say that Chianti is a highly recommended place for people who want to explore the traditional Italian Cuisine. The menu is quite vast with good options of vegetarian folks as well. The pricing is excellent and portion size is sufficient for two people. A 4 course meal for PEO Card members which is prized at Rs 595+ tax is a steal deal. Thanks a lot Saptadeep and Shivangi for hosting us.

Italian food is colourful, simple, nutritional and flavourful. It's all the things that makes a good experience, and it's good for you. Head over to this Uber chic restaurant that serves traditional Italian food which will make your tummy satisfied for sure? Once you will place your order, they will give you a plate of 'Make your own bruschetta' thing. Instructions will be posted on your table and this activity will keep u busy for next few minutes. And your order will arrive till that time. I liked this concept. Food is awesome. I loved everything. Pizza was perfectly cooked and crust was super tasty. They have too good salads. Dressing is just perfect. I am sure I will go there frequently now.

Visited this newly opened fine dine Italian restaurant in phoenix mall for a dinner with friends. Chianti is Bangalore based Italian restaurant chain. They have opened their first branch in Pune. I was amazed by the ambiance when I entered. Ambiance is so beautiful of this place. Service is very good. All the staff is courteous. We tried pizza, pasta along with starters and desserts. Everything was up to the mark. We tried antipasti non veg which is a platter containing pesto chicken crostini, calamari fritta and prawn aglio e olio. Everything in this platter was perfect, crispy and tasty. Taste was very good. This is highly recommended. Coming to pizza, we tried Del Chianti Pizza along with Pollo Ala Griglia. Both are thin crust pizzas full of flavours. Pizzas here are very tasty, different from pizzas you get usually. Coming to pasta, we had Fettucini Siciliana Chicken in white sauce. It was creamy and very tasty. Another recommended dish. We ended our meal with desserts which were fantastic. We had Bomba Di Ciocolate which is nothing but the chocolate bomb. It was loaded with chocolate. Very good in taste. Another dessert which we tried was Panncotta. It was served with ice cream. Taste was again very good. Apart from this, we tried Italian Soda in peach flavour which is something you won’t get everyday. It was good. They serve complimentary bruschetta which is something unique. You can make your own bruschetta using garlic, basil leave, cherry tomatoes (which is imported from Italy), salt and pepper and olive oil. The procedure is handy on the table. Give it a try, it’s interesting. Overall, very good option to have authentic Italian food in Pune.

Chianti is one of those places that just exudes quality, overall. The ambiance, service and look and feel of the place, is such, you know you’re gonna have a good time. Now they have recently started serving alcohol and that even more reason to rejoice. Their 1+1 offers on drinks and their 3-course lunch menu (Rs. 595) is a great value for money proposition. Complimentary make-yourself Bruschetta is a fun way to start your meal. You get crisp toasted bread with garlic, cherry tomatoes and basil. Which you rub onto the bread and top it up as you like and eat! It is delicious and really fun, especially when you have kids around. DRINKS - We tried their mimosas and the Orange Mimosa is just fantastic. The amazing Fratelli champagne, tangy sweet orange is just so refreshing. Had I not have to work later, I would have downed at least a couple. The Strawberry one, specially created for Valentine’s day, was okay. It had small strawberry caviar or small gelatin balls containing strawberry syrup, which made it interesting, but the taste of the actual drink was not that great, especially compared to the orange one. SOUP - I had the Minestrone soup and absolutely loved it. I had never tasted minestrone after a bad experience I had a long time ago, but I just loved this one. Wonderful hearty and amazing tomato and basil flavour. Few veggies and pasta making it substantial. SALAD - I had ordered the Timbalo di Milano, but was served the Insalata di Verdure. The grilled vegetables, fresh crisp lettuce and comically tiny piece of mozzarella were nice but lacked a bit on oomph. Not the best salad I’ve tasted. STARTERS Funghi al Forno - Baked mushrooms topped with crispy crunchy breadcrumbs flavoured with garlic and parsley. Was slightly dry, but overall good taste. Crostini - Both the veg and the chicken ham crostinis were super delicious, the latter just inching slightly ahead in flavour. MAINS - I had the Fettuchine Alla Bolognese which was an amazing hearty pasta with beef ragu. Well spiced, flavouful with fresh ingredients. I would have loved some more ragu, though, I mean why wouldn’t I? Penne in White Sauce - Don’t think this was on the menu but was still prepared for us. Shows you their flexibility and it was really nice, with crunchy broccoli and wonderful creamy sauce. Not something I’d really order, but it was quite good. Picata Di Pesce - A surprise of the bunch, grilled basa, but it was quite flavourful due to the amazingly flavour dense, shrimp sauce. I could taste all the shrimp heads and shells in the sauce. The fish was juicy and would definitely order this again! PIZZA - This isn’t part of the 3 course lunch menu, but I had to try it. We had a half n half - Amanti di Maiale and Pollo Ala Griglia! And man, it was legendary. I now finally know why everybody keeps raving about the pizzas here. The base is fantastic, not overly thin, with a healthy rim around and crisp but not crumbly. And the sauce and toppings are just next level. The porky one (former) was just incredible with bacon, pepperoni and roasted ribs meat. A meaty treat and perfect for a pork-fanatic like me. The latter, the BBQ Chicken, was the biggest surprise. So flavourful! The balance of sauce, cheese, chicken and BBQ sauce was just perfect. One of the best chicken pizzas I’ve ever had. DESSERTS - We had the Tiramisu, Blueberry Cheesecake and Panna Cotta. The Panna Cotta was really nice, creamy and wobbly with tangy, fruity blueberry coulis and strawberries. The Cheesecake was decent but the Tiramisu was quite average. Not the best desserts I’ve had, I was definitely expecting better. VERDICT - Overall Chianti is a great place to visit and the 3-course lunch option is quite good. The portion sizes are perfect for a single person and they have quite a good selection of dishes. But some dishes could be improved and the desserts too definitely could be better. Their whole menu and pizzas as infinitely more interesting and delicious.
