Sri Chintala Venkataramana Swami temple, about 600 years old, is situated in Tadipatri town, nearly 60 km from Anantapur. There are a number of YouTube videos available, both in Telugu and English, and it is advised to view a few to get a complete picture of the grandeur of this temple. Stories from Ramayana, Bhagavata, Krishna leela etc. are carved beautifully on the outer walls in black granite. One needs to spend a couple of days to see the carvings that are truly astonishing!! Devotees are allowed free 'darshan' within a short distance from the presiding diety. During afternoons, the temple remains closed. After the decline of Vijayanagara empire, during which time this temple was constructed, Muslim invaders and later the British established their rule. Some of the carvings were damaged during this period. It is only during the past 20 years or so, this temple began to gain prominence. At present, this temple comes under the aegis of the Archaeological Survey of India. For the last three to four years, devotees started coming to this ancient and divine place of worship. It is believed that a devotee will be rid of all his worries after having a darshan at this temple. Tadipatri is well connected by rail and road. From Hyderabad, rail journey takes about 7-8 hours. There's a pilgrimage special train from Shirdi to Tirupati that goes via Secunderabad railway station on every Thursday. This is a convenient mode of transportation. Being a not so big town, one should not have high standards of expectations with regard to accommodation and cleanliness. That said, there are some lodges that offer reasonable levels of accommodation for 1500 rupees per night. Transportation by three wheelers is the most common option. Within a 3 km range, there's another ancient temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, namely, Bugga Ramalingeswara Swami temple. Hence, under normal weather conditions, better to set aside a min of two days for having darshan at these temples. It is worth the visit. Once again, I urge you to watch some of the YouTube videos on this temple before you plan your visit.

It's a 16th century hindu temple located in Tadipatri town. The reigning deity is Lord Venkateshwara Swamy. Tadipatri is about 50 kilometres from Anantpur. This temple is constructed during the Vijayanagar Empire. There excellent stone sculptures in every part of the temple. This temple can be rated one of the most beautiful temples in Andhrapradesh. The floor in the premises can get extremely hot. Temple authorities to look to place carpets for the convenience of the devotees. Maintenance is low for the quality of this temple. Government can put it on tourism map and promote well.

Located in anantapur District, this is one of the oldest temple in the region. Built during the period of Sri Krishna devaraya, it offers an exquisite depiction of Ramayana and mahabharata through its architecture. It is an architectural marvel. It offers one of the finest carvings with finest precision. Often considered that whatever the worries and concerns you have, if you worship the good with true devotion and sincerity, your wishes come true. I'm a classic example of the above statement. Whatever worries I had which I've been suffering over the last two years, within twenty days all my worries have been cleared and all my wishes have come true.

Very beautiful temple with amazing architecture. Entire Ramayana story is carved around the temple. First of its kind. You can teach Ramayana to children just by bringing them here and showing them these sculptures. Marvel in stone.
