Build by Maharana Fateh Singh this huge palace is of morden style. This place has been named Fateh Prakesh after Maharana Fateh Singh. There is a big Ganesh idol, a fountain, and different frescoes which are to be seen to be believed. It is located inside the Chittorgarh Fort. It is now a museum, has a rich collection of sculptures from temples and buildings in the Fort. It also exhibits various kinds of weapons which includes daggers, old shields, knives, helmets, axes, uniform of soldiers and farsa. Clay models of local tribes wearing traditional outfits are also a part of the exhibits of the museum.

The paintings, sculptures, apparels, weapons, coins, frescos, inscriptions and other metal and terracotta figures give a glimpse into the regal lifestyle of the Rajputs. The mighty Chittor Fort is a preferred spot for picnickers and visitors never miss the Archaeological Museum once they are here.
The glorious museum was built in the 19th century during the reign of Maharaja Fateh Singh. It was initially a part of the Fateh Prakas Palace which converted into a museum by the Government of India in 1968. The Palace architecture is an example of modern Indian form of construction and hence stands out from the other traditional forms seen in the fort premises. Archaeological Museum is, therefore, of great historical importance. Some of the artefacts are thousands of years old dating back to the Gupta and Maurya Dynasties, especially the Jain and Hindu relics recovered during excavations. There are Jain Temples and Buddhist Stupas also inside the fort premises. Everyone must visit this wonderful place where tourists can find traces of the Rajputana family under one roof.

The Museum is neat and clean having good atmosphere there.Chittorgarh Museum is dedicated to Maharaja Rana Kumbha.The status and graphic is made of plaster of paris.Some weapons are related to that period when Maharana Kumbha'dynesty.Government museum charge rup for Indian students 10/- and one have student i.d. for it, for other citizens rup 20/- and for foringner student 50/- and foringner citizens rup 100/-

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A excellent historical museum in Chittorgarh. I had a very nice experience here. Large numbers of historical weapons are stored there. Different varieties of weapons are which were effectively used in wars. Different types of beautiful paintings are also there. Statues of some well-known personalities are also present there. The most beautiful thing I liked here is the 3d modal of the whole chittorgarh fort having all the necessary details of that place and really I loved that most. 3d modal is kept at the entrance point so you can easily see that. Overall a fantastic place to visit.

This is same as the Fateh Prakash Palace museum and is located near Kumbh Shyam temple inside Chittorgarh fort. We pay entrance fees of 20 rupees per person. The museum is part of the Fateh Prakash Palace. A giant model of Chittorgarh fort catches one's eye at the entrance to the palace. We enjoyed clicking selfies and group pics in the big palace courtyard. The museum showcases weapons, helmets, armoury and also there is a magnificent recreation of the royal durbar of Rajput Kings using life size models.
