★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have passed this beautiful church since my childhood but got sometime to check it out today.
Gates were locked so couldn't enter and had to satisfy myself with photos from।the gate itself.
The Church looks older than most similar buildings in Delhi, being in Tis Hazari area, I belive this was built sometime in the mid nineteenth century perhaps before the Mutiny of 1857 as there was a significant British population in this area around that time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Methodist Church is an integral part of our childhood memory. We all brothers had studied upto class 4 in nearby Butler Memorial school, and every day we used to pass by this beautiful Church. Its Sunday Church bells still ring in my ears.
This church was probably built after 1857 mutiny. Tis Hazari and near by ridge forest area upto Metfalfe House in Civil Lines was from where the British had fought against Indian rebellion forces inside the walled city and Red Fort during Mughal King Bahadur Shah Zafar. There is a similar beautiful red stone structure on the nearby ridge called "Mutiny Tower" which was built in memory of British soldiers who had died during the mutiny.
I plan to go there this spring to make a short video. Second photo is of "Jeet Garh" (Mutiny Tower).
