★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located next to the Indian Institute of Science campus, this is a decades old temple dedicated to Goddess Maramma. The devout come calling to seek the Mother's blessings. Expect heavy rush on Tuesdays and Fridays. Durga, Ganapati & Navagraha are other deities. The temple is so popular that the circle in front is known as Maramma Circle. Offering saree, lemon garland, curd rice, coconut is common. A small hall serves as a venue for weddings & celebrations. Since the main road is always busy, finding four wheeler parking is difficult. Beware of monkeys in the temple. Prasadam is offered to all in the temple in the morning.
