β β β β β Ordered food today thru Zomato. The food quality was absolutely tasteless. Stale fish rawa fry and stale chicken in the biryani including stale raita that was too shocking. Never expected it. We were regular at coconut grove. But this is my last order and will never visit this place for sure.

β β β β β Had nice lunch with my family. My second visit to this place. Food was really good. It's above average spicy , so it's worth mentioning to tone down the spice in case one is not keen.
The waiters were very attentive to our needs.
Pomfret, Appam, gassi and Sol kadhi ... Everything we ordered was delicious. Will definitely come back.

β β β β β Coconuts Grove is on of the oldest restaurant serving sea food and some south Indian delicacy. The ambiance is typical old school types restaurant. But its a fine dine restaurant.
FOOD
Bombil Rava Fry
This was not dry Bombil. Its also popularly know as bombay duck. The fish was coated with rava and deep fried. The rava was mixed some red chilli powder and some salt. It was having nice crisp outer coating and moist fish. It was perfectly spiced. The fish was extremely fresh.
Tandoori Surmai
The Size of Surmai was pretty big. The surmai was then marinated in curd, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder and some salt. This was then cooked in tandoor. The marination was so perfect had a great spicy taste to it. The fish was moist and extremely fresh. The meat came of the bone easily and it was melt in mouth.
Mangalore Fish Curry
Its a onion based South India style curry. It had prominent taste of curry leaves and mustard to it. The curry had a tangy spicy sweet taste to it. The fish was extremely fresh and cooked well. Its perfect curry to go with some soft fluffy appamas.

β β β β β They have a wide range of authentic veg, seafood, chicken and mutton dishes from all over south.. We had their prawns gassi with appams and it was heavenly.. Only the spice level was high which can be a bit medium but overall amazing taste and service.
