★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a typical one of the many Calcutta State Transport Corporation's depot. The same campus also houses Kasba Public Health Department of RTO/RTA. It's a huge place located right on the junction of EM Bypass and Ruby connector. It's a depot for parking, maintenance and refuelling of CSTC buses.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place usually located nearby Ruby hospital. Here you'll get your registered govt. Number plates fixed.
Pls note : The charge of fixing is Zero and there is no rule to pay extra so,Don't let other fool you and take your money.
People usually sell additional accessories for the number plates, think before opting for it as it might not be mandatory. I have RTR 200 haven't take the same as it's not necessary and thus saved my money

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Basically it is the Paribahan bhawan..or a branch of The transport department office in West Bengal. It is a bus stand as well. But the thing is that, there is no discipline amongst the crowd.. management is very poor..so unprofessional. Things would be much much smoother if the management was strict. You have to wait for 2-3 hrs even for a minimum requirement. Needs improvement.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a bus stand where u also get beltala number plates fixed. For number plates for 2 wheelers the timing is 2pm-4pm. There are agents outside avoide them and get in and spot the line of vehicles waiting to get their number plates. The person fixing the no plates insists on a tip so keep so money Handey. U also can purchase a set of extra metal sheets that go behind the no plate to keep them secure. See pic i purchased it for Rs 120 for a pair. It takes around 30-45min to get the number plates fixed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Though it is the only place to get the number plate for your car and bike, the guys here ask for additional money. They just ignore any request of fitting the number plates in any way the car owner asks. They just drill and punch even damaging the car body.
Been very disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the place in Kolkata where new vehicle owner's have to go, to get HSRP, (High Security Registration Plates), fitted.
The place is large, spacious with enough parking space. The number plate fitting process is fairly smooth and orderly.
What leaves a bad taste in the mouth is the continuous asking for tips/money by the CELEX, (the outsourced agency guys), who are fitting the number plates on your car.
It's not that they don't get paid. They are full fledged salaried employees of the CELEX named agency, yet they will continuously harass you to give them some money for "chai-paani" ! And it's not that you can give them what you want - the default amount seems to be ₹100 per car !
And hold on - it doesn't end there - if these guys sees that you've got a luxury car, like a Mercedes, Audi, BMW etc, to get number plates fitted, their "chai-paani rate" goes up!
I had taken a regular entry level hatchback, and when I refused to pay them, the guys refused to fit the number plates on my new car!!
I told them, that please make a mention on the acknowledgement slip that you guys are not fitting the registration plates because i won't bribe you, because i won't leave the place , unless they write that or fit the number plates - thus holding up everyone else!
When they saw that i was adamant in not moving my car , they reluctantly fitted the plates - but not without hurling the choicest of abuses at me!
Sad. Very sad. To see the culture
of bribes being such an intrinsic part of every day life.
And all the more sad - that nobody, not a single person protests against these wrongs and just toes the line, acquiescing to the totally unlawful a d illegal demands of these scums.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there to collect car registration plate. Process is pretty well laid out and people working are pretty efficient to ensure a nice experience for all its customers. Place is pretty easy to spot and is close to the Ruby HP petrol refuelling station. Be a little negotiating when you deal here ?
