★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are two different Dargah under the single roof. Hare Bhare shah RA — whose mazar is covered with green covers — is the guru of Sufi Shaheed Sarmad Shah RA — whose mazar is covered with red covers.
Both the darga are situated in front of the Jama Masjid main Gate. The Dargah are less crowded and clearly visible from the staircase for jama masjid.

The Mosque is elevated onto a 10m high podium in the midst of the busy shopping area of Old Delhi. People of all faiths are welcomed in to the central court of the Mosque, one side of which is the huge Masjid. The podium is filled with peace seekers and tourists. Shoal of pigeons flaunt all over the place of the podium. The pool of shallow water in the center of the court adds to the gorgeousness of the design. One can spend hours at the Masjid and not get bored.
The horde of street vendors along the bordering streets of the Masjid sell all the goodies at rock-bottom prices. All the streets bordering the Masjid are specialized in its commerce. One of the sides are clothe vendor while on the other are all the delicious Muslim titbits and treats. Specially to be noted are the kebab shops and sugary sweets. Every alley is packed with vendors and customers at most of the hours of the day. The backstreets of the area fill up with the smell of frankincense and delectable food. Being a part of the history and politics of the country, the Jama Masjid is a beacon of fidelity in capital.
