It is owned by central railways department of Indian Railways. It has five platforms, six lines and one footbridge. This station was built for access to Dehu Road Cantonment. Today also this station is used for Indian Army.

They may fine you . They should make ladies compartment in pink colour and 1st compartment with some distinguishable colour .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean, calm and less crowded Railway Station .. 7 to 8 km from Dehu.. Get off here to visit Sant Tukaram Maharaj's village. Very few express trains stop here. You have to go to Chinchwad or Lonavla to catch the express. You can get there by local train from this station
