स्वतंत्रता के पश्चात और राजस्थान के एकीकरण पूर्ण होने से पूर्व ही राजस्थान में प्रशासनिक ढांचे को सुव्यवस्थित रूप दे दिया गया था । सर्वप्रथम राजस्थान में 13 अप्रैल 1949 को तत्कालीन राजप्रमुख के द्वारा जारी एक आदेश के माध्यम से जयपुर में एक सचिवालय की स्थापना की गई थी।
सचिवालय का प्रशासनिक ढांचा
राजस्थान राज्य के सर्वोच्च प्रशासनिक निकाय सचिवालय में एक सुव्यवस्थित और पदानुक्रम के आधार पर निर्मित एक प्रशासनिक ढांचा/एक प्रशासनिक संगठन है। जिसमें राज्य सचिवालय का प्रशासनिक मुखिया मुख्य सचिव और उनको सहायता और सहयोग देने के लिए शासन सचिव, अतिरिक्त सचिव और अपर सचिव के सहयोग के लिए उप सचिव, सहायक सचिव, अनुभाग अधिकारी, यू.डी.सी व एल.डी.सी.जैसे पदों की व्यवस्था हैं।
इसके अतिरिक्त सचिवालय विभागों को केंद्र में मंत्रालय कहा जाता है लेकिन राज्यों में इनके लिए विभाग शब्द का प्रयोग किया जाता है । इन विभागों का भी एक सुव्यवस्थित और संगठित प्रशासनिक ढांचा होता है। जिसमें अधीक्षक उपाधीक्षक वरिष्ठ लिपिक कनिष्ठ लिपिक स्टेनोग्राफर चतुर्थ श्रेणी कर्मचारी होते हैं।
 Secretariat in Rajasthan
After independence and even before the integration of Rajasthan was completed, the administrative structure in Rajasthan was given a systematic form. For the first time in Rajasthan, on 13 April 1949, a secretariat was established in Jaipur through an order issued by the then Rajpramukh.
Administrative set up of the Secretariat
The Secretariat, the highest administrative body of the state of Rajasthan, has a well-organized and hierarchical administrative structure/an administrative organization. In which the administrative head of the State Secretariat is the Chief Secretary and for the assistance and cooperation of the Government Secretary, Additional Secretary and Additional Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Section Officer, U.D.C. and L.D.C. Positions are arranged.
Apart from this, the Secretariat departments are called 'Ministries' at the Center but the word 'Departments' is used for them in the states. These departments also have a well-organized and organized administrative structure. In which there are superintendent, deputy superintendent, senior clerk, junior clerk, stenographer, class IV employees.
