History awakes here. Where all multi story building are leading this world this multi story fort will rule your heart. Being here you can feel you live through nature life and hardwork. However before trekking to the tops keep this rules in mind ... 1. Carry a bottle of water believe me you'll need it its huge hight to climb so a bottle of water will do. 2. It's bit scary and dark so carry a torch otherwise not a big deal 3. Watch carefully while climbing some steps are not good enough if you're trekking with child please watch out 4. And most important do not write your name on any walls or monument do not through garbage keep it health you'll love it..

One of the very well maintained fort in Maharashtra. Moderate level trekking. It was very well constructed back then with sliding open and shut entrance with high security enabled at entrance only. Carry watter bottles and dry snacks as it's a long trek till end. Many dark places to go through covered with roof so be carefull while passing through as there might be bats present insdie.

If you are planning aurangabaad trip, then you must visit this fort. Overall history of this fort is terrific and mazes of this fort is so confusing. You can avoid maze now. Direct path is made. Somewhere climb is so stiff. Be careful while climbing. Please carry water with you. When you start climbing there is no water source on top or in between. You can only find water cooler at bottom. There was no rust on weekend too. Entry fee was 25/- each person. And if you have use and throw water bottle then you must apply sticker with INR 20 as deposit.

I had a wonderful experience going upto the top of the fort. Its defense systems are impressive specially vertically cut rock all around, the moat and strategically placed massive cannons.

Located 15 km away from the main city of Aurangabad, Daulatabad Fort is an ancient fortification that rises formidably from the midst of verdant greenery. Often hailed as one of the 'seven wonders of Maharashtra', this architectural marvel is believed to have been built in the 12th century. Also known as Devgiri fort, perhaps the most enchanting qualities is its location, from the zenith of which you can capture a mesmerising view of the entire city. You need to hike some 750 odd steps up to the top, but the view down below is a wonderful thing to behold. This fort was built by the Yadava dynasty in 1187 and was known as Deogiri. When Muhammad Tughlak ascended the Delhi throne, he was so taken by the fortress that he decided to move his court and capital there, renaming it Daulatabad, "the City of Fortune". The Chand Minar is considered to be among the finest specimens of Indo-Islamic architecture in Southern India. It is 63 metres high and is divided into 4 storeys and 24 chambers. A small mosque or praying hall sits at the base of the tower, which is covered with Persian blue tiles. There is one Mandir inside the premises , called Bharat Mata Mandir . 9AM to 6PM fort remains open . Entry fee is minimal , in 2019 post pandemic we visited and charge was Rs 50 Per head.

It’s was built to be an impregnable fort full of clever structural tricks. One should hire a guide to identify the specialities of the construction. The rich history of this fort is sure to enchant many. One might trek to the mountain top too. A newly opened museum inside showcases ancient sculptures from nearby.
