★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Library is heaven for any book lover. This place has a good collection of books. But the collection is not huge as well as it is not updated. Membership fee is negligible. You can lend books for a few days. Negligible amount of fine is also there if the books are not returned on time. Reading room is also available. This place is less crowdy and peaceful. Overall experience is good.
Reality is this place is actually dying. Very few people (most of them are old aged) are currently interested in actual books (rather than class room material and study books). Huge upgration is required both infrastructure and collection point of view. Between ourselves we must generate little bit awareness and visit there once in a while. Otherwise in near future one can expect a Shopping Mall or Apartment at that exact point.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The District library is situated near BNR more , between the Asansol court and State Bank of India bank. The place is suitable for study. But the collection of books there is not good. They mainly keeps the books for preperation for any govt. job . So if any one who is preparing por any govt. job, then he or she can find a good collection of books according to their choice. And they also have quiet good collection of novels and story books . The main problem is one can not bring the other books to home . Only story books r available to bring home. This library needs to get updated. So that students can get more help and good source for study .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best places in Asansol, but the maintenance is very poor. It is situated at the heart of Asansol.
But very unfortunate that if you visit the place, you will feel that you have come to a perfect government place. If a little attention is paid to the maintenance, it will be worth visiting.

Availablity of books are huge of novel with ancient writer, carrier guidance.
Latest books are rare limited.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Library is ok but it opens only for 6 hours in a day and runs as per banking regulation ie on 2nd and 4th Saturday it remains closed, A library should be open at least 8 hours in a day and 6 days in a week.
